I didn’t expected that we will be attending 2 events of KakaoTalk last Sept 16,2013 in Makati Shangri La Hotel, I’m not prepared for it and but when I heard that Sarah Geronimo will have a mini concert, I didn’t think twice to leave the venue after the presscon and I found myself standing at the front row of the stage waiting for Sarah G’s performance. hahaha. It’s been ages since the last time I saw Sarah G’s live performance on stage and this time, she’s smoking hot!!!
Kakao Talk Philippines is now having a big number of users since it was launched, thanks to the influence of their star endorser Philippine pop princess Sarah Geronino and Korean Pop boy group Big Bang!, and now they recruit new brand ambassadors for Kakao Talk – country’s hit love team from GMA Networks – Louise delos Reyes and Alden Richards.
The concept of having lovers as ambassadors will add more reason why we need to use Kakao Talk, because its free and its fun to use via chat with cute emoticons, lovers or couples will enjoy communicating with each other when they are online. This will add more connection to each other even if they are not together.
IMs and mobile apps with chat are very useful for long distance relationships, and for my experience, I always go online and chat with my family whenever I go out of the country. Communication apps like Kakao Talk is very important and useful, I’m glad that this kind of new trend for digital communications is now embraced by pinoys.
Alden and Louise for example shows how they use the KakaoTalk app in the latest TVC of the app, plus they interact with the funny mascots of KakaoTalk, ahhaha. in the TVC they look real, but in reality they are just cute emoticons that comes with the app. So use it as your own digital visual expression.
KakaoTalk now have big ambassadors coming from the biggest tv network, I wonder what will be their next move ? will they get a new ambassador to give Sarah G a male partner? will they recruit another celeb in TV5 ? or will they sign in a group of rockers or band to join the KakaoTalk roster ?
I’m excited for the next thing for Kakao Talk, I’m sure their next event launch will be much more bigger.
During the presscon, before the new ambassadors were revealed, we got a short chat with Sarah G and about her role in Kakao Talk, here she shares that it was funny to see that she got her own emoticons, I know that some of the animated emoticons look weird and funny, but in Sarah G’s face in animated version, its very funny to see an animated loop of her face and wow!! for a pop star ha, she allowed it to be part of the app.
Then the new ambassadors were introduced – Alden and Louise sat beside Sarah G. Its weird to see them together staying on stage, and we know that they work with different tv networks, they are surprised to see that they will be working together for KakaoTalk, its fun to hear the comments of Alden and Louise about Sarah G, they even revealed that they are star struck and a fan of Sarah G.

Here’s a message from Big Bang G-Dragon – he was supposed to come here to celebrate with us but the heavy monsoon rain that flooded our city few weeks ago prevented the event to pushed through and now his schedule is kinda tight, he’s no longer available to join with us, but he sent a video message to greet us and promised that he will be here next time
”Hello, Greetings from Korea, this is G-Dragon from Big Bang. I am sorry that I cannot be there with you at the event today. First of all I wanted to say thank you to everyone -- VIP guests and all the guest at the event today, also want to say thank you who embraced KakaoTalk and helped make it number one social app in the Philippines, and I wish you greater success there in the days to come.
As a big fan of KakaoTalk, I really can't imagine life without the app. My friends and our Big Bang members are using it ever often as well.
