Me
and my wife Lace went out and walked in the streets of Tagaytay City because we
spotted a Japanese café and we want to try it because its new here. But after
arriving to the café, we learned that it was still under construction and the
café will open after a few weeks. Then we saw there’s another restaurant located
under the Japanese café, we went there and we saw this La Finca restaurant
located at the Domicillo bed and breakfast establishment.
La Finca is a
Spanish word means, a farm or an estate. La Finca restaurant opened last March
28, and we discovered this by accident when we dropped by last April 9.
According to La Finca, they are inspired by the farm to table movement and
they pays homage to organic and seasonal fresh produce bountiful in its
environs. They support our local farmers and they reduce the carbon footprint of
their ingredients and offers the freshest of organic greens and herbs.
They offer a variety of salad creations which are both delectable and
healthy. But not only salad and herbs, they also offer food with culinary twist
of the classics but all of them are delicious mélange of high quality
ingredients handed well from farm to table. ( yup I copied some bits from their
menu)
Mostly offered are Filipino dishes and comfort food with contemporary
plating.
They will also feature local dishes that blooms in seasonal times...hmm
that's interesting
Our
sunset stroll started here from Robinsons Summit Ridge going down to Petron gas
station, corner of Mahogany st and Nasugbu-Tagaytay road.

La
Finca restaurant is the best discovery ever here in Tagaytay City, we thought
that we saw already all the dining venues and viewing deck here in Tagaytay, and
thanks to La Finca for offering another option if you want to have a nice and
peaceful dining experience here in Tagaytay. This city starts to be noisy and
busy every weekend due to massive flow of visitors and tourist, I’m glad that we
have a new hide out to escape a residue of stress and traffic from Manila.
