Coca Cola, one of the biggest beverage brand in the world is bringing you back the Coke Studio Philippines, on its 2nd season, they launched it with a new sub-title “Homecoming”. Coke Studio Homecoming will be more different from the previous years, but the collaboration of two artist will still be present, but they will bring new content that will feature more about the artist, the origin of the band or artist and also its place of where the music started.
The launch of Coke Music Studio Homecoming is a bang!!! They finally revealed the featured local and international artist that will be featured for this year at their event in World Trade Center, but they haven’t released yet who will do the collaboration for a one time shot to bring music much more alive!
At the launch event, they did a teaser of some lyrics of the song displayed as an LED light.
Can you guess these songs?
Coke Music Studio also invite everyone to try the Coke Music Studio TuneCycle, its a custom made bike powered by human and this machine can help grind the pet bottles. The grounded materials will be collected and be donated to turn it into an eco-bricks. This is part of Coca Cola's campaign for zero eco waste under their vision World Without Waste.
You can also make your own Coca Cola label with your name. They installed a label printer at the event and you can print your name and choose a Coke Music Studio icon for the design.
The funny thing is that they also have a photo booth that has a virtual photo op with your favorite OPM artist. Here’s my try to have a fake photo op with IV of Spades.
Then after a few minutes, I got a chance to meet the members of IV of Spades. They are shocked to see when I showed to them the print out of our fake photo op haaha.
Coke Music Studio Homecoming also give chance to us audience at the event to meet the artist in person and also watch their performance live on stage.
One of my favorite spot here at the Coke Music Studio Homecoming is the LED tunnel featuring lots of logos of Coca Cola and the lyrics of songs of their featured artist.
Btw, my photo post here is a self portrait.
And my fave part here is the Coke Cuba Libre and Coke Vodka!
One of the highlights of the Coke Music Studio is to feature the past and present Coca Cola endorsers, I was surprised to see Lilet on stage singing with Niki Gil and Abra, the three artist on stage are Coca Cola endorsers. The three artist sang the “Tomorrow’s People”, one of the theme song performed by Lilet back in the days for Coca Cola.
I actually can’t remember the Tomorrow’s People song, because that was around the late 80’s, but the most memorable Coca Cola song for me is the -- Ito ang beat sabay sabay and Niki Gil’s theme song “Sana”
After some minutes, they revealed the artist who will be featured at this year’s Coke Music Studio Homecoming.
That’s IV of Spades
Shanti Dope is also included in the line up
Coke Studio alumni - Ransom Collective. They performed live on stage that night.
