SM Supermall launched their Christmas theme decorations and also their campaign last November 6, 2010 in all 40 malls nationwide, started at exactly 6pm, all malls celebrated the opening of their Christmas lights, tree and display and this was witnessed and experienced by thousand of Filipinos who were present in all malls. I was in SM Megamall to attend the launching, but before that, I saw some anime-gaming-comic cosplayers roaming around in SM Cyberzone and there was also a mini meet up of Alodia and Ashley at the floor of SM Cyberzone, we marched in the hall way with Alodia and Ashley and proceeded to the event center of SM Megamall. There we saw a live orchestra act performed by students and later on the main started with Nikki Gil as host of the event, I saw many kids sitting on the floor and are excited to see the show and the non stop blinking of Christmas lights. I was with the Manila Bloggers group that day and on a mission to watch the show and cover the events in our blog, because this event is very unique and sounds like a record that 40 malls will launch a Christmas themed mall decor at the same time.
The Christmas lighting started after the guest and celebrities came on stage and pull the lever down, then a massive confetti fell from above and the Christmas Chrism Bop was here, that's the official Christmas theme song composed for SM Supermalls, hearing lyrics like "Gifts are here, gifts are there, Great big lovin' everywhere, Christmas Chrisms, here to say, shoppin', shoppin', shoppin', SM Supermalling, Merry Christmas Chrisms all the way!"
Eric Santos was present also at the event and gave a live song performance and another version of the Christmas Chrism Bop. Then Santa Clause was spotted sitting on a red chair and the kids were lining up and got a mini meet up with Santa, all of them were happy because all kids who have met Santa receives a toy gift from the big Santa. Christmas was felt so early and congratulations to SM Supermall for bringing a great Christmas spirit to all Filipinos.
