I'm not a fan or a music fanatic of this kind of music style or the name Astor Piazzolla is not familiar to me. But when I googled his name and found a couple of videos in YouTube, I just got to fall in love with the music and style...its the music that I like to hear with lots of strings and keys.

Astor Piazolla is the Father of Tango Nuevo. Also featured at the concert is Mr. Gladwin Pantastico, a Filipino classical guitar as part of the international crew.

Ástor Pantaleón Piazzolla, (1921 –1992) was an Argentine tango composer and a virtuoso bandoneonist. By incorporating elements from jazz and classical music into tango, he reshaped the traditional tango into an interesting and popular mold in the genre called tango nuevo. Piazzolla, The most important composer of this style, revolutionized tango in the 1950s, introducing not only the fusion of different genres but blending new instruments such as the electric guitar, or the fusion of electronic and acoustic sounds.

It is estimated that during Piazzolla’s prolific musical life, he wrote around 3,000 pieces and recorded around 500. He has performed around the world, including his September 1987 concert at the Central Park in New York. More than 20 years after Astor Piazzolla’s death, his music continues to leave people surprised that so many popular tunes are attributed to the same composer.
