Az the pirate with his former Captain, One eyed Billy.
There’s a pirate ship that landed in Eastwood City and I got an invitation to attend Vince the little Jedi’s birthday and treasure hunt party at Il Pirata, and thanks to Karen of Black Pearl Philippines for inviting me. I took a face crayon to paint myself and act as one of the pirate goons, but because that I lack some items and props in my costume, I just look more like a blue ray DVD pirate ahahhaah. I love to dress up as a pirate and its my first time to be one, and after watching Goonies during my youngling times, I really love to be a pirate hahahaha. And also love to collect those pirate LEGO toys with my brother. ( READ MORE BELOW AFTER THE LINK)
I arrived on time and saw that the kids were already busy getting lecture in the art of pirate larping, they are in their pirate costumes and wielding a rubber sword, they were taught on how to do rubber sword fights and also larp around as a pirate. Many people were in costume, and most of them are pirates. Black Pearl Philippines members were there and in their authentic costume of pirates and some characters from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. The ship was operated by Capt. Hank Sparrow, who got busy after giving some trivias and task to some pirate kids. At the bar, I hang out with the characters from another world, Indiana Jones and a Sandp Storm Trooper. I joined with them in a little bar talk and enjoyed drinking some cold sweet ice tea. It was fun and nice to see all kids in their pirate style and attitude.
After the birthday meal, everyone gathered around with their parents and guardians as they prepare to play this treasure hunting game and contest. They received a piece of paper contain a lot of task and mission in getting an item from the characters inside the venue, they got to visit some sections and let those characters sign the paper and advance to another section level. They need to find Indiana Jones and get that prized jewel in order to win the contest.
It was fun seeing all of them, and I joked around and tell them that I haven’t seen Indiana Jones, he was standing there behind the bar, but he was gone.
I left the ship after an hour to prepare the trick or treat event of Eastwood City. The interiors of Il Pirata restaurant is so amazing, it is really a pirate ship. But if you look from the outside, its just an ordinary restaurant, but when you enter the restaurant, your visuals will be transformed as you will see a two section deck of a pirate ship. There are also statues and other pirate props around the restaurant. A perfect hang out for pirates and ship lovers, there are also ship toy models exhibited in the ground floor.
It was a pirate blast! But after that, I started to look like an Italian pasta chef outside the restaurant hahahaha mama mia!!!! and because its the start of the Halloween week, there's a reason for me to tell everyone why I wear a funny make up in the city.
