Bloggers Conference and talk at Asian Business Expo 2008 this Saturday at SMX



This event made me busy for the past weeks, and I'll be there on Saturday for our segment of the International Business Conference, and one of the topics will be about blogging. There will be a talk and conference for everyone if you want to know or learn more about blogging.

Azrael Coladilla is a BS Math major in Computer Science graduate from Far Eastern University, just finished college last 2007 and now in heavy blogging and events organizing. Blogging since 2001 and officially become active in 2003, blogging for the pop culture scene. Loves to innovate and create ideas and materialize it into something cool for events and conventions. He is busy in blogging, video blogging, pod casting and surfing the far reaches of the social networking websites. Into freelance work and being a rurouni like Kenshin Himura for years, never stop learning from everything that is around you, but Azrael is now starting to manage an independent events coverage and blog team called Pop Machine Media.


Fitz Villafuerte is a civil engineer turned entrepreneur and blogger. After 5 years of working in the corporate world, he ventured into the world of freelance software development and I.T. consultancy. Currently, he is busy managing 2 businesses, handling various freelance projects and writing for his business and personal finance blog, Ready To Be Rich (http://fitzvillafuerte.com).



Juned Sonido, By academic discipline, have a college degree in Inland Fisheries & Aquaculture and also have a graduate degree in Library & Information Science. He owns 7 blogs for his writings, photo blogging, podcasting, that includes his main blogs baratillo.net and dilismedia.com .


Jonel Uy is a Computer Science graduate from the University of the Philippines - Diliman. He has been in the information technology industry for almost 8 years having handled a wide array of information system projects specializing in the area of web and software development for both local and international clients.

Recently, he gave up the usual employee-office-setup and is currently working as web development manager handling his own group of programmers and developers. He is also an IT consultant for a copier importing company and an educator in college teaching programming classes.

With a more flexible time, he is also able to focus on the development of his latest blog site with a niche on the lucrative industry of travel and food: http://LetsGoSago.net. Barely four months since its launch, LetsGoSago.net has already been a finalist in the tourism category of the recently concluded DigitalFilipino.com Web Awards for 2008.



Gerry Alanguilan is a Filipino comic book writer, artist and publisher. Blogging since 1998 and now video blogging since 2006. He has written and drawn comics like Wasted, Timawa, Crest Hut Butt Shop, Johnny Balbona and currently Humanis Rex! and ELMER. Been an inker of comics for DC, Marvel and Image, and Gerry worked with Leinil Francis Yu and Whilce Portacio on titles like Wolverine, X-men, X-Force, Superman, Batman, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Wetworks, Grifter, High Roads, Silent Dragon, and many more.

Adapted and illustrated various short stories by classic authors for Graphic Classics including “The Black Cat” by Edgar Allan Poe, “The Judge’s House” by Bram Stoker, “The Plague of Ghosts” by Rafael Sabatini and many more. Edward Arevalo, the man behind the music blogs edarevalo.net and musicrator.com. Edward is a Business Management graduate. He is an alumnus of Makati Science High School and had his college degree at Asia Pacific College. Ever since, Edward (or Ed) wanted to be a DJ. He’s a “frustrated” singer too but he doesn’t stop there as he tries to move closer to his biggest dream through music blogging. If you’ll ask what’s on his music playlist, to let you know, he loves pop music more specifically those songs which fall under many genres. Blogging since November 2007, his blog Music Picks received an award for the most influential blogs of 2007-2008.
