ADAM PENN SAYS GOODBYE: A FINAL LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Time sure does fly fast when you're having fun. People ask what it's like working for a magazine that most men would die to have a career with. It's mostly what people expect it would be : fun,rewarding,life-affirming. Okay, the last one may be a bit of an exaggeration. But I'll tell you this much: It's not something you take for granted. And its not just because I'm a man.

There is so much more to just ogling pretty girls and owning bragging rights when said girls hit the big time ( check out our PLAYBOY NEWS section to see recent projects of some of the beautiful girls we ahve featured). Prestige is what the job is ultimately about.l It may seem shallow to some of you reading this, but there is no other men's magazine that I would dare associate myself with, other than this rag you guys are holding right now.

Witht that, in the year 2009, I pass the baton to a hardworking bunch of guys, led by MCHAEL DIEZ, who share the same passion for PLAYBOY that I have. I leave knowing that the momentum we were running on in the latter part of 2008 will drive PLAYBOY to even greater heights this new year. This isn't goodbye. This is a welcoming party.
