Globe Tattoo YOUniverse was launched today at the Handle Bar Manila in Makati City. The new addition to the Globe service is here to target people who usually go online and a user of social networking sites. The Globe Tattoo YOUniverse is like a social media site that you can communicate to other users at the mashboard section, and add user generated content in their Digg like panel or look like a blogging platform. Information will be shared virtually and you can also communicate to other people who are into the Youniverse world. They even showed to us their TVC with a hot lip locking couple (totally naked) , not sure if this can make it on free tv. But I like the TVC concept.
Also they showed to us the new Globe Tattoo sim card that you can use in your Globe Tattoo usb modem or to your mobile phone, so that you can surf the internet and looks like they are having a wider, stronger signal (it says on the prepaid card label). The new sim has this ImmortalTXT service, you will get 50 txt for Globe network and 10 txt to other networks, it will be activated after subscribing a Php10 sms prepaid plan, the good thing is that there is no expiration.
The launching party is fun and we got fooled for dressing up in the middle of the afternoon and meet up to a classy restaurant, but it was revealed that venue is in a bikers bar grill in Makati, we rode the van and was escorted by a group of Harley Davidson bikers, and one female blogger volunteered to be a back rider. Upon arriving, we watch live performances of Sleepwalk Circus, I love the style and music, sounds like that I'm addicted to their cool guitar riffs and its hard to remove in my head that I listen to some kind of Death Cab for Cutie. Then Up Dharma Down performed and saw Armi in a sparkling short hair new look.
The challenge came in when they announced that you can take home a Dell mini notebook if you volunteered to have a permanent tattoo in your body! I almost joined, but then I chickened out. Noemi's daughter, Lauren, got the winning pick and brought to a tattoo clinic nearby.
It was a crazy and fun event! good to see and meet our fellow bloggers in a rocking glam afternoon. (check out my photo coverage below)
