If you are wondering where to eat in a fine dining restaurant at the Venice Piazza, Mckinley Hills, then check out this food and dining discovery we found in there. Two restaurants fused into one venue, I can only describe that they have a passage way going to the other restaurant. Kuse restaurant specializes in all traditional Filipino dishes, I heard their famous meal is the "adobong balot", and then the Old Vines Grille restaurant has a variety of international style food from Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Italian food. The best part here is that when you dine in one of the restos, you can order food also to other resto. Check out our food blog feature here from our food trip to Venice Piazza.
We met Larry Cortez, the managing partner of the two restaurant, he told us that the main concept of having two restos in one venue is to have a different kinds of meal, so if you love pinoy food go to Kuse and if you love some international food go to Old Vines.
Before we go on to the full meal, we tried one of their best seller salad
Tessie Tomas Salad, a combination of roasted prawns, marinated salmon, and grilled shitake mushrooms with mesclun salad in a creamy balsamic dressing. This is one of my best must try salad.
Paco salad sa Laguna with kesong puti. In all set of meal, this is my favorite salad of all, you see that I ate these Paco ferns in Quezon Province and it is the most sought after kind of fern because it is delicious and a very good partner for rice and sardines. At Kuse, they made it as a form of salad then added with kesong puti or local white cheese. Now I know where to eat if ever I want Paco in my plate, no need to climb up on the mountains to harvest it.
Seared Tuna Sashmi, with olive oil and garlic ponzu sauce
Baked Cream Dory, with mushroom duxelles in tomator garlic coulis and angel hair noodles
Poele Lamb Spareribs, in cilantro-curry sauce, service with roasted potato. The most best seller for us, the one of a kind taste experience and we love this lamb spare ribs.really delicious and tasty.
Batangas Bulalo soup.
BBQ Beef Back Ribs Adobado
Crispy Tilapia, i love eating fried tilapia at home, but having a boneless tilapia meat and friend in crisp is great. I love more eating a boneless and crispy friend tilapia fish.
Salmon Carpaccio, a house cured and seasoned salmon with micro greens in lemon raspberry vinaigrette
Garlic Dulong Rice, this special rise is mixed with dulong dried fish, this garlic rice will make your taste buds rest in tasting different kinds of food, and it add more flavor of the food and removes you in the "umay" trance while eating. A must have rice in all meals.
Sinugba Pork Liempo, with tomato mango ensalada
and now here are the desserts from Old Vines Grille
Kuse and Old Vines have the best menu for us that night and I recommend that you should try it and the interiors and decors around the restaurant is nice and classy.
