Food fest starts at Appetite Restaurant Festival 2011 at Shangri La Plaza

Appetite Magazine is celebrating their 7th anniversary for this year and they are sharing their celebration and inviting everyone to their Appetite Restaurant Festival 2011.It is a tie up food fest with Shangri La Plaza and MasterCard, the deal here is that you will enjoy a food and meal prepared by Appetite Magazine in some participating western and eastern style restaurants inside Shangri La Plaza and the price is around P500-P700, all resto with the special menu for the festival is all under P1000.

The promo will run from October 14-November 30, 2011. Visit the mall and grab the November issue of Appetite Magazine to avail additional freebies from selected restaurants by presenting the coupon found on the latest issue or get the coupon from the mall entrance and concierge. Get also a free parking in the mall when you use your MasterCard in participating restaurants with a minimum bill of P1000. Its just a start of the food fest and looks like that October to November is really a month for food and restaurants. (More Story Below)

I like to post a review about the fest, but I haven't tried yet the meal in the actual festival, I'll attempt to visit the mall again and eat on one of the resto on the list. I'll post a review here in my blog soon.

The three of us arrived in the event 30 minutes late and we saw the crowd invading the buffet hahaha.

The food invasion begins, I can't even enter the hall and line up, But I roamed around first and took photos and then after that I learned that all plates and forks are gone, so I waited for another round of plates and forks in the table set up. My fault for not grabbing a plate after I entered.

I passed on a pasta for that day and I hunted for some heavy meals and dessert. Crowded and you won't even see a vacant cocktail table, most of us sat near the fountain, which is much more comfortable.

I just watch people grab food and let the resto rep. stamp our food passport, to make sure that we get the food in a one time basis only, so that there will be more food for everyone.

Thanks to Appetite Magazine for inviting me to their launching event, I haven't attended any food festival or restaurant festival here in Manila, I love the concept and idea of organizing a food and resto event for all of us foodies and resto lovers. I just hope that they do this every season and every year, how about a Christmas food festival this December ??
