Promoting original pinoy music is always a hard job, and its one of the most important part of a job for a performing artist or band, because it is the only ingredient needed in order to be heard and be popular to have a high album sales. Music promotion becomes a trend when social media came in and it is the most cheapest and most effective way of connecting the artist to their fans, to shows, sponsors, gigs and endorserment. I became a band manager for awhile and i just experience how hard it is to promote and get gigs for my boys, especially when it comes to paying gigs.
Thanks to new media and new breed of music promoters, we now have FANSILOG.COM, our newest OPM music hub and website created by fans for artist and fans. The Fansilog.com is a portal website containing a roster and list of artist or bands having their own website and complete details of gigs, videos and info about the bands/artist and their members. There's also a details on how to contact them if ever you want to invite them to perform for your events and gigs. (more news below)
Fansilog.com also helps indie artist and they are here not just to host a page for them but also to help them and produce their own music video. Thanks to the creators of this Fansilog.com website - namely - Freelance video producer Frank Lloyd Mamaril, together with Robbie Ortega (licensed engineer), Jason Talon (IT Practitioner), and Raul Robles (IT Support Engineer).

Fansilog produced their first music video “Sayang” It premiered in Fansilog.com for two weeks and in just two days, it had 400 views and growing. Weeks after, the music video also premiered in MYX as part of the show PINOY MYX.
Since the website is still on beta, I like to suggest that they can also add some media content like photo gallery, twitter embed on every artist's page, I'm sure they will add also a link to the artist Facebook and Twitter, I just don't get the right reason how will fans intereact to their website, there's a comment discussion below the page and it uses the Facebook comment system. Maybe they can add a system like those Paypal chip in, for fans request if they want a local artist to have its own music video, I'm not sure if thats a brilliant idea, but that's the only thing that pops into my mind on how fans can help their favorite artist. Kudos to the creators of the website, you have my full support for this.
