The event launch was held at Oakwood Premier last October 29 where MSI has unveiled the new gaming laptops, the GT72 Dominator Pro; the flagship unit, and the slim and sexy GS60 Ghost Pro and GS70 Stealth Pro models, all equipped with the latest NVIDIA GTX980M and 970M graphics engine respectively. MSI Gaming laptops are made specifically for hardcore gamers as meeting with their demands and needs in a gaming unit and that’s why MSI made some new upgrades and features in the GT and GS series.
The MSI GT72 Dominator Pro; the high-end unit in the MSI gaming laptop line, provides superior gaming experience, thanks to the upgraded NVIDIA GTX900M series GUI, it performs 30% higher than the previous GTX800 series. At 48mm, the GT72 is the thinnest 17 inch gaming laptop compared to the other brands by 17%. Another key feature is the unit can be upgradable, aside from the SSD and memory, the MXM GPU module can also be switched or upgraded since the MXM is separated from the main board and keeps the temp away from the main board thus extending MB and components life.
The GS series, is not just slim and sexy, its powerful gaming laptop with extreme performance that carry anywhere. Its made with fine materials, the GS series is only 19.9mm thick and only weighs just 1.9kg, ideal for gaming on the go.The GS series will release 2 models, the GS60 Ghost Pro and the GS70 Stealth Pro.
All GT and GS series are powered by 4th Gen Intel i7 processors and packed with features. Among the features are:
SteelSeries Keyboard - The keyboards specifically made for gamers, its solid built, mechanical-level made gaming keyboard, resilient to hard key pressing during critical gaming and less worries of flimsy key presses. It has a SteelSeries Engine UI which it allows users to customize the keyboard functions, keyboard light management and keyboard layer options.
Super RAID 2 (GT72 Dominator & GS70 Stealth models only) - for faster read and write performance up to 1,500 Mb/sec transfer rate
Cooler Boost 2 (GT72 Dominator only) - provides higher cooling performance for heavy loading and overclocking.
Killer Doubleshot Pro - MSI is the first company to feature the Killer Doubleshot Pro which allows the network connections (both wired LAN and WiFi) process data packets faster simultaneously with the Smart Teaming feature allowing play online games, lag free.
Matrix Display - which allows users can use up to 3 external displays up to 4K resolutions with the use of the laptop’s HDMI output and mini Display ports, allowing users to work, play and multi-task simultaneously, all at the same time.
XSplit Gamecaster - it lets you record your gameplay and broadcast your live gameplay on the internet via popular streaming sites.
