If
you are planning to buy that LG G3 then you have to think twice before grabbing
the Mobile World Congress’ Best Smartphone 2014, because this 2015 the LG G4
might follow the award and be the best smartphone again for this year. I got a
lot of wow moments since LG G2 was released, for LG G3, I know that it will be
better, but for a LG G4 that was released today in the Philippines, its double
the best specs you can ask for and what I see is that LG G4 carries a better
camera, better screen and a body that are fit for the grip of humans. As LG say,
that this is the new technology that respects our lifestyle, I believe that LG
wants to make the best tech specs that can match our needs, I’m talking about
the camera. Because, camera is the best selling point ever in any smartphone
brand.
There are a lot of new changes and a slight evolution from for the
LG G4, it looks like the same LG G3 but the new LG G4 has a bigger screen and
another additional button on the screen. LG tries to break another trend by
inserting 4 kinds of buttons on the screen. (not sure if they have this in LG
G3, I haven’t tried or used it)
So what’s that 4th touch screen
button?
I asked and the tech guy at the demo area told me that it’s a button
to call a command to switch Sim 1 to Sim 2. I think it’s a sim management thing
to open a menu and use the other sim when texting or surfing the net.
The
PH launch of LG G4 is dubbed as LG G4 Day, for me it’s the best presentation
ever! Everything is nice, the venue is good and the presentation of the tech
specs is quite entertaining. Plus a guest photographer artist Niccolo Cosme live
on stage to share his experience in using the LG G4 as his DSLR to do photo
portrait of kids in Kawit, Cavite.
The long wait is over and LG G4 is
finally here with SRP of PHP 31,990 for the metallic and ceramic body and a SRP
of PHP 32, 990 with leather back case.
Here’s
the back body of LG G4. It got a prismatic like feature that glitters when you
turn it on the side, its very stylish and fashionably cute.
The
most awesome part here is that they use a genuine leather back case that
protects the shiny gem of the back cover. LG did a custom made tailor design
leather case to add more glam and style on the LG G4. Making it stand out from
the rest of the smartphone competition.
Black
leather case is a guy’s preference.
Rear
camera is equipped with the highest megapixel. ( 16 MP)., it has also a new tech
called Color Spectrum Sensor of CSS, it’s the 1st ever feature in a smartphone
where it improves the color accuracy by precisely reading the RGB values of the
ambient light in a scene. If its green, then it will give you the real colors of
green. Not enhance it, but show you real colors.
Here’s
the CSS performance of the LG G4 vs. that looks like an iPhone and looks like a
Samsung
The 16MP camera comes in with an aperture F1.8 wide lens, the
low aperture captures more light when shooting in a scene or a subject, it
allows 80 percent of light to reach the sensor as fast as it can. For low light
feature, the LG G4 camera got a OIS 2.0 version, it doubles the performance of
the OIS + by increasing more range of image stabilization.
Now they
enabled a Manual mode, that can shoot like real DSLR.
The best added feature is that you can now control the shutter speed of the LG G4 camera and take the advantage of the slow shutter
speed mode and plus you also have the option to save the photo in RAW. For you to tweak
and edit the photo if you want to adjust more lighting effect. For photographers, they know how important are the shutter speed when it comes to low light environment.
The
camera specs is a wow!
Front
camera is 8MP with f 2.0 aperture. I’m very impressed on the front camera and I
noticed that I takes better selfie. Its fast and much more better in low light
conditions.
For the screen, LG G4 uses a 5.5 inches Quad HD IPS Quantum
Display which display much more colors, perform better brightness and gives
great contrast. The screen is calibrated for DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives),
it’s a standard for color expression that is used in movie making in
Hollywood.
Its real color and much better picture to display.

UX apps
LG G4 brings the LG UX 4.0, a new set of LG apps that can automate
everything for the user.
The Gallery-Memories arrange the photos in
order and according to date, users will have an easy way to find their saved
image in the LG G4, the Gallery-Timeline will help you track all of the images
and it also plots it in a map via a photo GPS. The Smart Bulletin displays your
calendar, health and even music, its like a shortcut of display of other LG
apps.
The Calendar- Event Pocket is one of my favorite, because you can
now drag photos into the calendar, to add more info and also visual display for
your calendar. Smart Notices is much more updated for the LG G4, it can now
display a better notification, temp and time. Quick Help, a new addition for the
users quick help and guide in using the phone. Also LG G4 enables you to have
your own Google Drive account with 15GB + 100GB, take note that the extra 100GB
is good for 2 years only.
