I just met Jacq, the managing director for Lamundi PH few weeks ago and it was fun and productive chat with her when we talk about blogging, travelling the country and also startups. My brain started to switch my startup hat because Im such a noob when it comes to building my own startup, but I got the awesome advice from Jacq when I told her that I want to build my own startup because I just saw a problem and I have a solution that I want to launch, she gave her calling card and told me to email her if I want more advice. Oh boy, I will and perhaps, maybe sell my startup idea.. LOL

THE LAMUDI MEET UP

The meet up with Lamudi in Greenbelt also gave me new knowledge on how big companies like Lamudi and MyProperty operates here in the Philippines, I can see that they are so active in online and also providing insights and informative content that are inline with their market. They use real lifestyle stories to provide real content and a studies for their web users. They have their website, a blog, mobile apps and also a magazine print.

During the introduction, I later learned that Lamudi already acquired MyProperty, another online market place for Philippine real estate, they operate with the same business concept, and now Lamudi already acquire them to place them both in the position as top online market place destination for Philippine real estate.

THE LAMUDI GROWTH IN THE PH
Here’s an interesting news from Jacq --- “Citing its own data and that from web analytics platform SimilarWeb, Lamudi reported that visits to its platform for the first six months of 2015 is 34 percent higher than those recorded for the entire 2014. In addition, at 320,000 monthly visits, Lamudi’s site visits via desktop are now at least 28 percent higher than its nearest competitor.”

I also read the news that this year 2015 is their milestone, as they secured a $18 Million funding to boost more their operations here in Asia and also in Latin America, plus they acquired MyProperty to boost more their service to reach more property hunters.

Lamudi also launches their app for iOs and Android, this will reach more target users who uses mobile. Because according to their study, the PH has a 40 percent mobile internet penetration for 2015. That leaves 53 percent for desktop users, 20 percent for mobile users, 20 percent for tablet users.

As Jacq said -- “Tech can make real estate transaction go easy, you can do so many things in tech for real estate, and we believe that today’s marketers spends more for online advertisement to sell real estates”

That’s awesome! great move for Lamudi.
Congratulations!
