I have tested this before during the hands on test last September launch and I can say that the AF is very fast and you can capture any moving subject with blurring the photo.
The 5.0 inches smartphone like this Zenfone 2 Laser is perfect for people who dont want to carry a bigger phone. Normally, Zenfone 2 are 5.5 inches, Im glad that Asus created another version for people who have smaller hands.
