SJCAM is a good alternative and also an affordable action camera and water proof camera. Many people uses this for under water video and photography, others uses this for their drone and action sport scene.
Its my 2nd choice of brand after GO PRO, because I like the mini LCD panel at the back and result quality of a photo or video display a much vivid colors vs. colors from a GO PRO, but then GO PRO is still superior when it comes to HD quality videos.

I didnt got a chance to try shoot a video or photo, because the SJCAM camera needs a micro SD card to save its media file. But Im impressed to see a lot of bundled accessories, this has beaten GOPRO when it comes to accessories bundle.
