I got a chance to visit Metro Store's annual Sidewalk Sale in Market Market. I was there yesterday for its last day and it also my first time to see how they organize a grand sale. They placed all sale items at the sidewalk area infront of Market Market, so the result is that, all foot traffic going to the mall, pass by and won those shoppers.
Metro Store Sidewalk Sale was last March 16-18, and all prices at the prices at the sale event are marked down. Also they are offering a lot of freebies to all Metro Store Card holders and give chance to new card sign up to get some freebies too.
For those who aren't a member yet, they can the Free membership card if they purchased at least PHP500, or they can buy one card at a price of PHP 25. Shoppers can now use the card and claim their freebies by showing the receipt and membership card at the redemption booth at the basement of Metro Store (near the grocery and lotto booth)
I visited that redemption booth and I saw that many claimed 1kg of rice for FREE, it means that many shop for items with a price of PHP1,500.
Here's the Side Walk Sale infront of the main entrance of Market Market. Its a bit crowded and hot, but shoppers didn't stop them to visit the booths and also take advantage of the 3 day sale.
