Starbucks Philippines sent some samples of their newly launched ISLAND SERIES COLLECTION, the new collection is in time for the 120th celebration of our Philippines Independence Day, its an exclusive collection available only here in our country.
The three kinds of mugs features the colors and symbols of our three main island group of the Philippines.
Also, they are launching a special ISLAND SERIES COLLECTION Starbucks Card. According to Starbucks Philippines, the mugs and cards are available in their respective islands per Starbucks branch, it means that Luzon mug are available only at Luzon and same goes to Visayas and Mindanao.
The new Starbucks cards are also available and as well can be purchsed at any Starbucks airport stores.
The Luzon mug is priced at PHP 995, it has a glossy decal with gold foil highlighting the night scene of the business district of Luzon, made from ceramic and it has a laser engraved Starbucks logo on the side.
For Visayas, there's a Sampaguita flower and coconut palm tree leaves design in gold foil, it represents the beautiful beaches of Visayas
For Mindanao, it features the iconic Vinta boat, and the colors represent the colorful culture and history of Mindanao
Each Philippine island it has its own exclusive Starbucks card, here on hand is the Luzon Starbucks Card, there's also the Visayas and Mindanao version which you can purchase at any branches of Starbucks in Visayas and Mindanao only.
Each card requires an initial activation amount of PHP500
The design of each card is similar to the mug version.
If you are planning to collect this, then you have to ask your friends or family who lives in a city from other islands to get one for you. I know this is hard to acquire but we need a little "bayanihan" to complete our Starbucks collection.
