Ryze Tello - a drone by Intel and DJI - is it good ?

I've been waiting for this Ryze Tello Drone, aka DJI Ryze Tello, Its a toy grade drone with better tech specs from Intel and DJI. Its not just a toy, but also a good drone that can be used for aerial selfie, photos, videos and hobby.

The difference of the Ryze Tello is that its a smaller drone, that looks like a small DJI Spark, but only with a 13min flight time and 100M flight distance from the drone pilot. You wont be able to fly this in a highest height because the drone can be controlled via WIFI only and using your WIFI signal from your smartphone, as your controller.

I got a chance to check the new Ryze Tello, and thanks to Ron Villagonzalo of www.wahpinas.com for inviting me to do a test flight of the Ryze Tello drone in CCP Harbor Square.

Ryze Tello is a toy grade drone, it can only fly in low level and it will no longer require you to show drone pilot license, but be mindful that you should fly a drone in an open space with no people around and no obstruction in the area.

Ryze Tello is priced at PHP 5,700
available in DJI stores

Ryze Tello is a very handy and small drone. To launch it, you can throw the drone up ward and see it hover infront of your eyes. Take note that you need your smartphone to control the flight of the drone.

Is it good?
For me yes, its good. I dont have yet the budget to buy the DJI Mavic Pro or Spark, I need a serious practice in flying a drone and the Ryze Tello drone is a perfect training drone and also toy for beginners like me. With the SRP of PHP 5,700-6,000, it is the most affordable drone ever. It doesn't have the DJI branding, but the tech used are developed by DJI and with Intel processor. Its the first time ever I heard that DJI is just a secondary title or name, but the flight tech on the Ryze Tello now live on its own because of its successful launch in the market recently.

What I like?
- its small and compact
- flight and control performance are superb, feels like you use a DJI Mavic
- Can be controlled using a smartphone or a separate wireless controller
- Battery can be charged via USB
- The face tracking of the video is very accurate
- Lesser noise when on flight
- Its small, its a toy grade kind of drone, you no longer need any license to operate the drone

Im super sold with this Ryze Tello because of its features and tech capability.  Its so affordable and its easy to carry. Although that the photo and video resolution is not as good as the pro level drone, but for me, the camera and video quality is just alright.
