Chinese Cuisine in Manila: First Time Dining at Paradise Dynasty in Conrad Manila

Restaurants are now reopening and ready to serve in their normal operation. Visited Paradise Dynasty in Conrad Manila, my first time actually, to try and taste their Chinese cuisine.

Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by their beautiful façade decorated with glowing lanterns that reminds you of dragon scales. Inside the dining halls, you’ll see dragons on the wall welcoming you to feast.

With a warm atmosphere and elegant designs from their walls to their tables and chairs, you will feel dining like the royals in China.

Inside their VIP room is another dragon waiting for your arrival. It can accommodate up to 8 people with a lazy susan on the table.

One of the dining halls offers a view of the Manila bay.

After admiring the regal facade and interior of Paradise Dynasty, let’s check the menu!

Excited to taste their chinese food offering, we ordered a bunch to cover all the bases. Started with appetizers and drinks, then proceeded with their Chinese food specialties like their xiao long bao, noodles and dumplings.

Here are the food we ordered.

Chilled Slice Pork with Minced Garlic and Soya Sauce - Php 238

Deep Fried Pork Ribs - Php388

Stir-Fried La Mian with Shredded Pork and Black Fungus - Php 238

Pork Dumpling in Hot Chili Vinaigrette - Php 168

La Mian with Dan Dan Sauce (Spicy Sesame and Peanut) - Php 230

Stir-Fried French Bean with Minced Pork - Php 238

Lettuce Roll with Homemade Sesame Sauce - Php 288

This was refreshing to eat, a healthier option to balance the meat and chili oils.

Poached Sliced Fish in Szechuan Chili Oil - Php 788

This dish is usually very spicy but with this we tamed the spice and opted for the less spicy version. For the people who love the heat on their noodles, this noodle dish is a must try.

Yang Zhou Fried Rice - Php 238

Shanghai Fried Rice - Php 238

Now we go to the star and highlight of dining in Paradise Dynasty. They are known for their legendary 8 flavor Xiao Long Bao (original, ginseng, foie gras, black truffle, crab roe, cheese, garlic and Szechuan). Once the bamboo steamer has been opened, it's like this steaming colorful surprise of Xiao Long Bao goodness. Bite a small piece on the side and see the juices flow in your spoon, sip and eat the flavorful soup dumplings.

Special Dynasty Xiao Long Bao (8 flavors) - Php 388

Charcoal Custard Lava Bun - Php 188

This one is also my favorite, the sweet and hot lava bun. Yum!

Crispy Sweet and Sour Pork - Php 288

Buko Juice - Php 300 | Seasonal Fruit Watermelon - Php 300

Overall, we enjoyed eating at Paradise Dynasty. The relaxed and elegant ambiance together with the sumptuous Chinese feast makes eating at Paradise Dynasty a great dining experience. Add the great service and attentive staff, you’ll surely come back to savor the food experience again.
