Scream-ing for the Best of 2010
Held 19 October 2010 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, the two-hour long star-studded and glamorous Scream 2010 was produced by US TV network Spike TV. In its fifth year in 2010, Scream saw 33 spike-shaped show and individual performance trophies presented, including the top honour for the best production in the business named ‘The Ultimate Scream’. Results of the awards show were determined by online votes cast by American audiences.

Christopher Nolan's summer science fiction blockbuster Inception led the way with nominations in 14 categories, including ‘The Ultimate Scream’, ‘Best Ensemble’ and ‘Fight Scene of the Year’. "Kick-Ass" was nominated in 13 categories for a total of 17 nominations, while Tony Stark's adventures in "Iron Man 2" garnered 13 nominations. HBO's "True Blood" had the most nominations of any television series with 10.

Categories and nominees were determined by the Scream 2010 advisory board made up of some of the most respected and well-known members of the horror, sci-fi, fantasy and comic book worlds. These luminaries include Tim Burton, John Carpenter, Wes Craven, Damon Lindelof, Ridley Scott, Quentin Tarantino and Joss Whedon.
