coverage: The #SmartiPhone5 event launch and craze in the PH

Last night’s #SmartiPhone5 or aka the official iPhone 5 launching event by Smart Communications is a much awaited event after the grand launch last 2011 of the iPhone 4s carried by Smart, it was the bongga event ever following their 2011 launch of the iPhone 4s.


The event
I arrived 1 hour late and the event venue is already jam packed with Smart subscribers lining up to check the plans offered by Smart, also there’s another line for those who want to apply, but I think it was opened after the big countdown at 12am of Dec 14, 2012.

There are lots of celebrities, media, bloggers and it was like a Christmas party. I stayed in Kurosawa restaurant and there I joined the media and bloggers with nice chats, kwentuhan about the iPhone 5 hits and misses, tsismisan, eat yummy Salmon sushi, drink beer and ice tea and then attend the grand raffle draw for the media… congrats to all who went home with a free iPhone 5 and Nokia Asha.

It’s a fun event..with lots of excitement and some laughs, I’m gonna get my iPhone 5 soon, after I buy my new camera next year heheeh.

Smart offers iPhone 5 in the Philippines
Smart is offering now the new iPhone 5 and you can get details at www.smart.com.ph/iPhone
There are lots of plans offered, like the iPhone Plan 2499, the iPhone 5 will be available for 0 Ph (means it will be free) for the 16GB model, and then 0Ph for the 32GB model, and Php 6000 plan for the 64 GB model, this will be offered and available in all Smart Stores nationwide starting today.

The iPhone4 and 4s is also available for 0 Ph with P2499 plan.

I was busy checking my email and twitting about the event and forgot that it was already 12am and the countdown just started… I ran into the pit and started to take photos, I missed the confetti drop but I manage to get infront of the stage
