Me and a couple of bloggers went to Eastwood City and there we watch the ever super Mr. Pure Energy - Gary Valenciano for this REBIRTH album concert, and also the concert is for celebrating his 25th anniversary in the music and film industry. It was a big blast event for me and I haven't watch a full concert performance by Gary V., I saw him perform years ago and it was just like 5 songs only for an opening and final act for an international artist, but here I just got blown away by his performance style and he still never got rusty in every performance he did during the past.
Eastwood Central Plaza in Eastwood City had just transformed once again to this big concert venue and the outdoor style and cover tent for the concert really made a different feel and atmosphere to everyone, all people inside the venue are calm and comfortable, they have VIP seats in the front and at the back, they placed long covered tables which is served by waiters from restaurants who are near the concert venue. The lights of the concert is really beyond awesome of everything I saw. Many people say that the lights really made us cry for a little and total big wow in every eyes that added great effects of Gary V's performance and also it matches the flow of light to the emotions of the song. The semi last song of the event, Gary V did his own rendition of Mandy Moore's "Only Hope", the light immediately went on and the venue turned into an intergalactic outer space, we feel the song and then we feel that we are floating because of the effects of the lights. It was lovely and it was a great experience, all of us bloggers who are equipped with digital cameras, began to stop taking photos and observe the latest flow of lights all over us. Then after the concert, we all share the same experience and its all about the beauty of the lights.
Gary V performed his timeless hits and on the first part of the concert, he turn all of the hits into a medley, while other major hits like "Shout for joy" and "Natutulog ba ang diyos" has a different version for the modern style of music, but as we say that all songs are very timeless, means that it can be played all over again and it never dies, because the music lives even on the next generation. Many people commented while we watch the show, and said that Gary V sings like that we were listening to a CD music. That's the real thing, all perfect and the voice never changes., because his the man and the only one Gary V we have.
There are a lot of celebrity and musician guests that evening, and Gary V mention that these artist performed his songs and music in some of their performance and i heard that there's this album performed with Gary V, I'm not sure if it is a tribute album for Gary V., I'll listen later to my recorded live concert hahaha, yes! I do record all audios of concert, it's just for my archiving purposes, been doing that in the 90's and I got loads of cassette tapes of major concerts and live recording of artists during the past. And I'm glad that this recording mp3 player is on digital mode.
On the half of the performance, Gary V.'s 2nd son,Gabriel, joined him in some dance and rapping performance, it was a cool sight to see them perform at the same time and it looks like a big showdown. And after that Gary drinks this some sort of juice, as he calls it, and he said that he needs it in powering up on the next performance, we know that Gary V. has this diabetes thing on him, and during some part of the show, he took a break and started chatting with the audiences sharing his experience in the industry, he talk about the people who inspires him, the success of his career, and being the Ambassador of Goodwill for UNICEF, his funny hairstyle in some old movies, and this blood sugar test gadget he holds and took a test after a few seconds to see if he is okay, because he said that they needed to check his blood test minutes after a few of powerhouse performance.
the show runs in a 1 hour and 50 minutes, and its almost a 2 hour concert, non stop performance. And after the show, Gary promises to sign autographs and meet fans and viewers who got and bought his new CD album, REBIRTH. Then after the concert, we went to the line and saw a big line going up to the backstage, fellow bloggers Ed and Jonel lined up, but me and the others decided to rest in Starbucks and after a few minutes we decided to go home and rest for my partner Lace has a work on the Saturday morning.
it was a great experience to watch another great artist and thanks to Eastwood City for organizing this and love to see that the Eastwood Central plaza is a non stop music and art hub for everyone.
