Mac OS X Snow Leopard (Philippine launch)

Mac OS X Snow Leopard (Philippine launch)
Mac OS X v.10.6 Snow Leopard was launched last August 28 in all Apple Authorizes Resellers and Apple's online store. And after a few days was the formal media launch and I was there to see the goodies and new core technologies of the new Mac OS X Snow Leopard. I've been reading a lot of news lately since last week about the OS software and since I'm a Win XP user for life, I have no interest checking it out and find its new innovation. After attending the media launch, I began to think to switch and get my own Mac book. Christmas time is coming, so I'm listing a Mac book on top of my wish list and will send it directly to my Daddy Santa Claus.

The Mac OS X Snow Leopard amazes me and I fell on my seat after learning its new gimik and I'm very convinced that Mac OS is the most powerful operating system in the world. They showed to us the new capabilities of your Mac after installing the Snow Leopard, here are some of the new refinement they have for us:

Mac OS X Snow Leopard (Philippine launch)
-Time Machine® with an up to 80 percent faster initial backup
-a Dock with Exposé® integration
-QuickTime® X with a redesigned player that allows users to easily view, record, trim and share video
-a 64-bit version of Safari® 4 that is up to 50 percent
-faster and resistant to crashes caused by plug-ins
-Snow Leopard is half the size of the previous version and frees up to 7GB of drive space once installed
-Finder, Mail, iCal®, iChat® and Safari are 64-bit and Snow Leopard’s support for 64-bit processors makes use of large amounts of RAM
-Grand Central Dispatch (GCD) provides a revolutionary new way for software developers to write applications that take advantage of multicore processors
-OpenCL, a C- ased open standard, allows developers to tap the incredible power of the graphics processing unit for tasks that go beyond graphics.

It's very weird for me that I'm loving a Mac OS behind a WinXp, they also shared to us that it is more cheaper to buy MAC OS X Snow Leopard than getting a new Windows 7. I like the new Quicktime X editing features and screen recording capability, the zooming features in each icon, and the scrolling panels of program icons and command. And the upgrading to a new OS is much more easier and no hassle, just like we experienced in Windows that we need eraser our HD in order to install a new one, but in Mac OS X, no need for HD format and deletion of files.
