This is another evolution of preaching, and the blogging community will grow again and our friendly and spiritual guide and leaders will be there. I hope they can read our blogs too and post comments, and not just blogging in their website. Blogging priests should interact to the online community with blogs and social networking sites. New media will be ground now for the Word of God, and everyone can read the good news even if you have a different religion and culture. People love to read online and this can convert more non-Catholics or bring everyone back to believe in God, or become strong spiritually. Blogging is just a beginning for them, and here in Manila, I heard few months ago that there's this Sunday mass that they video stream it online, that was organized and put up by our own bloggers to help the people reach God in anyway.
Here in the Philippines, we already have some blogging priests, some have their own personal blogs and social networking sites, but from my observation, they have low profile and should need to go out and inform everyone that will be blogging for everyone to promote peace and give spiritual guidance to all blog readers. I'm not sure if this will apply for the priests here in the Philippines as others are not tech savvy and old, but the only bloggers we can count on are the young priests, I love to meet one blogging priest online and reading all of his personal notes on the events around us, we can get some word of wisdom and also opinions from the community leaders that God has chosen for us.
Drop me a note, if you are one of the blogging priest.
