I really like this campaign on giving shoes to kids. But there’s backside of the story and an event that will invite everyone to walk barefooted. Check out this awesome story below
Here's a story: American traveler and entrepreneur, Blake Mycoskie saw some kids in Argentina in 2006, kids don’t have any shoes or even a foot guard for their everyday life. So Blake got an impact on a child's life without a shoes and then he created TOMS shoes with one simple premise: Buy one shoe and one shoe will be given to a child in need.Now that thing is called a One for One Movement.
You see that this problem from other countries also happens here in our country. I see kids do enjoy themselves outside or going to school barefooted or just wearing slippers and even broken ones. I do hope that the One for One Movement can help here. From the background of TOM shoes, they already given 1 Million shoes to children, and thanks to the great people who bought TOMS shoes.
This April 5, 2011, TOMS is inviting everyone to be part of the One Day Without Shoes Event, everyone will be there and walks barefooted from 4pm-8pm at the Open Gardens, 4th level of TriNoma Mall. There will be a screening of TOMS story every hour.
I like this campaign, and now I’m already thinking of buying a pair of TOMS shoes for myself, I also like a custom shoe that I can design and maybe I can create a blog design for my shoes hahaha. Also it will be awesome to help kid, because they will receive a free shoes after your purchase at TOMS.
