BIO – Mr. JV Rufino is the editor in chief of INQUIRER.net, the top Philippine news website for Filipinos both at home and overseas.
Before being appointed editor in chief, Mr. JV was the site’s executive editor. It was in that capacity, together with executive editor Leo Magno, that he handled the live-blogging, streaming video and audio, and breaking news delivery that defined the online coverage of the Estrada impeachment trial in 2000, the Edsa Dos revolt in 2001, the 2003 Oakwood mutiny, and the 2004 presidential elections.
At home both in the online world and in the tradition-bound field of book publishing, Mr. JV, together with the other principals of Platypus Publishing, has published works on personal finance and Philippine history. He was part of the group behind the noted literary journal PEN & INK.

NOEMI DADO – top Political and advocacy blogger and citizen media
TOPIC – Emerging Media and the Rise of the Citizen Journalists
BIO – Ms. Noemi Dado, a blogger, a homemaker, and an Editor of Blog Watch, a citizen media site. She became a blogger in 2006 to spread her advocacy in grief education after she lost her son, Luijoe in an accident in 2000. She worked at the State University by providing consultancy and research work for small medium enterprises until 1987. Since then, she took the role of homemaker, taking care of her children until they all graduated from college. In the past years, she finds herself being more active as a citizen. She evolved from just being a personal blogger. She focused her time in citizen media, emerging media and promoting children’s rights, the preservation of our environment and quality of family life through her personal blog (aboutmyrecovery.com) and Blog Watch.
