Coca-Cola Guess Who's Coming to Dinner ? Story behind the OFW Project

I've posted this video few weeks ago here in my blog, its a teary eye video that brings joy and hope to all our OFW to come back home here in the Philippines and celebrate Christmas with their families, its a tough decision and expensive trip back here and going back again abroad to work, and to other OFW, instead of going back here, they just give the balikbayan budget to their families to support them and accept the fact that you can go back here after a year or so. The video that was spread online via YouTube, Facebook and blogs, captured the hearts of our fellow pinoys and OFW and shows that there's still hope to come back and be with your family this Christmas. Coca-Cola Philippines surprised us on their OFW project feat. our new heroes of this era and giving them a once in a lifetime trip going home and surprise them with an unexpected arrival.

after watching the video, you can now wipe your eyes.. here's some tissue.

I've been thinking years ago to work abroad, there's an opp. came that I can work as social media manager for this company based in another country outside the Philippines, its hard to think and decide if I can grab the opps. and leave my family here at home be gone and stay abroad for a long time, its a tough decision because I know the stories of our OFW and I can feel the same how they miss their family and the hardship they do working for them to give a better life. I'm not ready yet, but this video by Coca-Cola showed that there's still hope and always think about your family and your homeland.

Here in this video we feature the OFW that were given a great chance to come back here

1st is Joe Marie Ballon, 38 year old and working as a X-ray technician in Al-Hofuf, KSA and from the hometown Molo, Iloilo, he stay abroad for 5 years and he is working for his aging parents and siblings, he works hard to earn more money and payment for the hospitalization need of his parents. He wanted to come back home because his dad is hospitalized.

Next is Joey Doble, 56 year old and working as a Multiple job holder, looks like he handles a lot of job in Milan, Italy, he stayed there for 11 years and from the hometown of Pampanga, he left his wife and kid here in the country, it was a long stay and he even shared that he left his 1 year old kid that time, so he went back home and saw his kid all grown up. He didnt have a permit to stay aborad and his official docu were only released last Sept. 2011. He gave an expensive wedding ring to his wife as a Christmas gift. Now he plans to fetch his son from school everyday and have a pinic together.

Last is 50 year old Leonio Villanueva, she worked as a multiple job holder in Milan, Italy and was there for almost 9 years, she's a widow from Q.C., she wants to celebrate Christmas with her 3 grown up daughters, she works in complete 8 hours working in many kinds of jobs.

MOA Eye Ferris Wheel - tallest and largest ferris wheel in PH opens in SM Mall of Asia today

MOA Eye is the new attraction here in our country today, the big ferris wheel with a specs of 55 meters in diameter with fully air conditioned 36 gondolas and 6 VIP gondals that can accommodate 6 persons per gondola, now stood up by the bay of SM Mall of Asia Amusement Park at SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. The MOA Eye is now considered as the tallest and biggest ferris wheel in the Philippines, it is now the new prestige landmark for pinoys and foreign visitors of SM MOA, here you can experience and see a panoramic and 360 degree view of Metro Manila and the Manila Bay while inside the gondola.

The idea behind the MOA Eye is after the London Eye in England and Singapore Flyer in Singapore, the MOA Eye is now the new tourist attraction this holiday season and it will stay forever in SM Mall of Asia. The MOA Eye is operated by SM Prime Holdings and S & T Leisure Worldwide Inc., Pacific Leisure Group (a Philippine entity), they are dedicated to its mission in giving the grandest and the biggest to the Filipino people.

To ride the MOA Eye, you need to pay a P150 per person, and here you can experience a 10 min. ride around the MOA Eye, I haven't tried the ride yet, because last night is the lighting ceremony and blessing, and the start of its operation is today Dec 17, 2011, I got tickets here with me, and hopefully I can try riding it tomorrow with my family.

The 10 min. ride looks like a one complete turn and they say that the ferris wheel moves slowly and here you can see the entire Manila in birds eye view.

iPhone4s camp out countdown to launch in the Philippines by SMART and Globe

Okay! I don't know where to attend the launch party tonight. Globe will have the countdown to launch from 8pm-midnight at the Ayala Museum while SMART will have their own in Rockwell Powerplant  Mall ( I heard that they rented the whole mall and will be closed down for the party ) from 8pm-4am. Free food and booze to all attendees.

Hmm...since its an all nighter event, I think I can drop by to both parties and see what they have in there.
International DJ like Kascade will perform for the Globe party, while DJ Fiasco and Dupri will perform for the Smart party. I saw also on the site page of Smart that registrant for iPhone4S are allowed to enter and attend the party awwwww.

Travel and food tripping in Pangasinan

PB261482 PB261219

I haven't posted anything yet about my travel and food adventures during my 4 days stay in Lingayen, Pangasinan, my first plan is to post in different topics and according to schedules in my blog, but you see here that travel and food are always together and whenever we travel, we always eat and try new food in a place were we are first timers. Here is my collection of my food adventures in Pangasinan, although not a food tour of some sort, but it serves as a teaser for me on what are the popular ones and specialty in Pangasinan, there are lots of food in Pangasinan and my stay is kinda short and I want to go back there again just to roam around and eat new food. Thanks to Vanj Padilla for inviting to their 1st Pangasinan Digital ICT Congress, it was an honor to be one of the speaker of the ICT congress.

Must try this Chicken Delish by

Chicken Delish

I heard that the Soderno at Molito is very successful, the weekend lifestyle market in Alabang is making an appearance through the online waves already and also it mentions this new food and brought us here to food project - the Chicken Delish, she mention in her blog that she cook and prepare this only for her family and now she decided to serve and offer Linkit here in Soderno at Molito.

I'm very curious and I want to taste the chicken, I have tried lots of styles of chicken wings and drums (even my wife's own cooking) and now I placed this food on my list of "must try food before the year ends", need to add this in my taste buds right away and I'm sure there's a unique and special taste that comes with the Chicken Delish.

o ayan Annalyn..abangan mo ko sa next weekend haha
