Goodyear
unveiled recently their new tire product that are designed for mid-sized
passenger vehicles, the new tire of Goodyear have this "Assurance TripleMax",
the first tire to boast Goodyear's latest tech - called "Hydrogrip Technology" -
the tire can help the car increase more grip on the road and have maximum
assurance and worry free driving on wet roads.
The new tire is very helpful especially on wet roads, drivers
won't even worry when the road is wet, because the Goodyear Assurance TripleMax
tire reduce braking distances by more than 2 meters on wet roads.
There
are times that I got this worry feeling that the car that I’m driving might slip
and loose control, and we know that wet roads are a hazard to drivers, we’ve
seen accidents happening because of roads are slippery when get wet, that’s why
we have signs on the road to notify us that the road are slippery when wet, but
when it comes to safety, it is up to the responsibility of the driver to drive
slow whenever the road is wet, there’s no such technology or automatic tech that
can help the car or even the tire to stick on the road while moving, Goodyear
Assurance TripleMax will guarantee for braking on wet roads, but we drivers
should be very careful in driving and I’m sure the new tech of Goodyear will add
more help for our safety driving.
They
say that the new lines and edge gap of tires in Goodyear Assurance TripleMax is
designed more for wet roads and also having a new material included in the tire
to add more grip and also durability of the tire.
I will copy paste the
details here…to explain more about “Goodyear Assurance TripleMax
“
----------in details---------------
In addition to significantly
increasing grip and shortening braking distances, the Goodyear Assurance
TripleMax tire was also developed with two other key consumer needs in mind; a
high level of tire durability and an increase in fuel
savings.
Reinforced with DuPont™ Kevlar® for added
protection
Built to last longer, the Goodyear Assurance TripleMax
gives drivers that extra mile with added protection and increased tire
longevity. The Assurance TripleMax is reinforced with Dupont™ Kevlar®, which is
used in military grade equipment. This lightweight material maintains stiffness
and strength even under high temperature conditions when the tire is in motion,
giving drivers’ added protection against road
hazards.
Incorporates Fuel Saving
Technology™
Goodyear’s Fuel Saving Technology™ in the Assurance
TripleMax lets drivers go further for less and reduce emissions, saving up to
Php15,900/318L worth of fuel over the life of the tires². This is achieved by
reducing the tire’s rolling resistance; the lower the rolling resistance of a
tire, the less energy the car needs to push it forward.
“The Assurance
TripleMax is Goodyear’s response to deliver to consumers a tire they’ve always
wanted – one which focuses on increasing grip to improve safety, while also
extending tire lifespan and maximizing fuel savings,” said Ron Castro.
HYDROGRIP
Technology® – Reduces braking distances by more than 2 meters on wet
roads¹
Goodyear’s proprietary HYDROGRIP Technology® in the Assurance
TripleMax tire allows drivers to reduce braking distances by more than 2 meters
on wet roads¹. HYDROGRIP Technology ® is a combination of the following three
elements:
Maximum Wet Grip: An innovative functionalized polymer tread
compound with improved molecular bonding gives the Assurance TripleMax tire the
extra edge to take grip to a whole new level on wet and dry roads.
Maximum Control: Larger surface area contact and
optimized pressure distribution on key block elements on the Assurance TripleMax
tire improves rubber contact with the road, giving drivers more control during
braking.
Maximum Braking Ability: Equipped with biting
edges with large block elements, the new Assurance TripleMax tire has an
increased road contact area for extra security when braking.

are at show area, we can see the new “Goodyear Assurance TripleMax “ in a Toyota
Camry car
I
don’t know much about tires…but with the new tech from Goodyear, I can say that
this is one big pogi points whoever uses the Goodyear Assurance TripleMax .
Available Sizes
Available in 14" to 17" rim diameters and
in multiple sizes, the Goodyear Assurance TripleMax tire delivers drivers of a
wide range of mid-sized passenger vehicles maximum grip for maximum assurance.

non stop innovation through the years. They also the main supplier of tires for
planes.
TripleMax
tech design is for maximum wet grip, control and braking ability.
The
lines and edges helps the car get a nice grip on the road even if its wet and
braking is not a problem here if you have better tires with grip tech. Its
physics baby…and I don’t want to get more details on how this
works.
New
material added to the tire – Functionalized Polymer Tread Compound – main
ingredient to have a better grip on wet roads and this is patented by Goodyear.
Their tire scientist are doing good in research and coming up with this new
compound for the tires.
Most
interesting part of the presentation at the launch is the benchmark comparison
of a car using the new tire of Goodyear vs. cars who uses other brands. They
told us that Goodyear Assurance Triplemax stops more than 2 meters shorter than
the other tired wet roads.
Funny thing is that… After Goodyear’s event
launch..a competitor emailed me introducing their new tire …which is similar to
Goodyear..Im not convinced because I’m just reading an email and no test is
shown to us.
Using
the Goodyear Assurance Triplemax will assure you that you’ll save more fuel when
driving.
Because…the
tire helps you get 7.5 % less rolling resistance when you are on the road…
I
agree with this… having a less rolling resistance on the road will help you save
more energy.
And
here’s a result of their tests….. saving up to Php15,900 of fuel over the life
of the tire.
Anatomy
of Goodyear Assurance Triplexmax – ohhh there’s a Kevlar material, its not
really bullet proof but this increases more durability and long life to the
tire.
At the forum, the answered some questions from the guest,
most attendees are motoring press, then they showed to us a video of some
celebrities and also drivers who used the new tire of Goodyear, spotted is Jane
Kingsu tried it and she said that the grip is very effective and its a worry
free driving.
They
also showed us the tire…..
Here’s
me… photo op with the mock up display hahahaha
It’s a start for everyone to keep in mind to drive safely when you are
driving in a wet road.
Congratulations to Goodyear for launching a new
tech for our tires!
