August 17, 2013 – After a long land travel that day, I decided to drop by to Burger King’s launch event of their “Chicken Crisp Fillet Sandwich”, dubbed as the FILLET-vorful” chicken sandwich in the market.
I’m curious about the specialty of this crispy chicken sandwich and why is it a big deal to have a big launching event, there are so many chicken sandwich offered by other fast food chains, but for Burger King, its not just a regular chicken sandwich. Okay there’s a catch, but the most important detail here is that the sandwich is priced at Php 55 only for the sandwich, or priced at Php 85 to come in with a regular fries and a Coke, or priced at Php 100 for coming with a regular fries plus Coke with float.
Thanks goodness that this is affordable, but why is it so special ?
hmmm..
here’s why.
Each Chicken Crisp Fillet Sandwich has a whole muscle fillet made of 100% real chicken.
What makes it distinctly more “FILLET-vorful” is that it’s freshly prepared daily inside the store.
They are hand-pressed, breaded and immediately deep-fried to crispy, juicy perfection. Burger King uses only transfat-free oil to create that crispy coating and make sure that all the juiciness of the chicken is locked inside.
The fillets are then put between a warm, toasted bun and topped with crisp, fresh and green lettuce and your choice between two sauces: sweet and tangy honey mustard or zesty garlic mayo with real garlic bits.
I tried it and its not a regular chicken sandwich, there’s a difference with this Burger King’s Chicken Crisp Fillet Sandwich from other regular chicken sandwich that we know. Other fast food prepare their chicken sandwich using processed chicken meat, while others uses other parts of the chicken meat that are not that meaty. But here in Burger King, they uses the muscle meat of the chicken, it is the most juiciest part and more tasty. When I took a bite, I felt the crispy crumbs of the chicken, its crispy from the outside but softer from the inside.... but I just didn’t like that remaining crumbs are so hard to chew and a bit thick, but it’s a minor mixture and hope they can perfect the crispyness, but the sandwich is good for those who want to take a break from beef burgers and want to eat lunch or dinner with no rice.
Its heavy in your tummy …but healthy and affordable.

They added new sauces for the sandwich, to add more taste and flavor. For others, they just don't add the ketchup, bec. it might kill the honey mustard flavor.

One of the reasons why I love Burger King.
In my home in Cavite, me and my wife are always eating in Burger King in SM City Bacoor. Its one of the best hang out place during the afternoon for us. We super love the fries, apple juice and their Whoppers.
The event launch was held here in Burger King One E-Com bldg, it is a one of a kind concept store based from the American store style of Burger King. I got heads up from the big wigs of Burger King and said that some of the 24 hours Burger King store will be converted to this new concept resto called “flamed grilled burger resto” If you check the interiors and dining area, it looks more a restaurant and not a fast food joint.
I arrived late that day and then I saw my blogger friends www.recyclebinofamiddlechild.com, www.mixofeverything.blogspot.com and www.juanmanilaexpress.com were also late, but Burger King waited for us and they want us to try their new sandwiches. Also I met two new online friends – @gabbyborromeo and @mayleeco who were there also to cover the burger event.
the best part here in Burger King One-E com bldg is that they have a see through glass where you can see the staff of Burger King making your burgers. Now you have a clue where your burgers came from and how it was made. Burger King shows here that all of their burgers and sandwiches are freshly prepared and all clean.

Then my eyes rolled and saw new sandwiches.. check out that X-tended Indulgence sandwiches, a long sandwich filled with chicken cordon bleu or a philly cheese steak…. omg!!! I want to try this in my next visit

Burger King ketchup! never leave the store’s counter without this ketchup, your burger or sandwich will be disappointed without a part of a nice tomato ketchup.
