Aug
9 – Yesterday, I went to the new terminal again, it was holiday and I expect
that there might be few commuters in there, but I saw that there’s a long line
in every station. After my appointment in BGC again, I rode the taxi going to SM
MOA, because I want to ride the shuttle there and try to avoid the new terminal
bec. I don’t want to walk again inside the haunted mall.
It was traffic
in Pasay Edsa, and I suspect that the Victory Liner there are causing the
massive traffic that starts to build up all the way to Magallanes, so I told the
taxi driver to just take me to the new terminal and instead of wasting our time
in crawling traffic in Pasay EDSA.
The taxi dropped me off infront of
the new terminal and I saw that there’s a taxi bay outside the
terminal.
Awesome!!
Front
of the terminal
some
kind of toll gate booth
I saw an operating booth nearby, not sure if bus
needs to pay some kind of fee in using the terminal
thumbs
up MMDA!!!
and
here’s my horror!!! long lines…
I
looked around and here I saw my ride going home – take the Tagaytay bus that
takes the Bacoor-Imus route.
More
long lines in other stations
In
every station they have one line only, bec. the bus takes all the route posted
in the sign above.
I
decided to walk around and see what’s the offerings of this new terminal to
us
here..I saw their small HQ
wow!!!
push carts!!!
yes..its real..and you can use this if you have many baggage
and will wait for your next bus ride.
There’s a bus monitoring screen at the
passengers waiting area, it’s an aircon room with seats and see through glass
walls.
the
prayer area
no image of Jesus or Mama Mary as of now…
I’m
not sure why there’s a shopping cart there.. hahahaa
time
to go home!
I
spotted this scene at the passengers waiting area.. police forces are having a
briefing inside, I also saw lots of media men covering this police briefing. I
went inside to check the bus monitor screen, but my interest was diverted when I
heard that the police force failed in a “bomb disposal” drill that occurred
minutes ago, I heard from their leader, the one talking infront, that the police
forces forgot to disposed the 2nd mock up bomb (not a real bomb), the drill gave
them new learning that if there’s a bomb, there’s always a 2nd and third.. so
massive inspection will be enforced to protect the passengers in the new
terminal.
the
police leader infront remind them always that they should prepare for the real
mccoy
btw, that girl in shirt is GMA reporter Mariz Umali.
So my
question about security has been answered. But I hope they install lots of
police desk in every corner.
The terminal should have a one way entrance
for passengers, and have a separate inspection for all genders, inspection for
people who don’t have baggage and with baggage.
Bravo
MMDA!!!!
our PWD friends will be happy to read this.. saw some ramps in every
bus stations
So I
lined up and waiting for the bus, I think I waited for 15 minutes before the bus
arrives.
So
I’m in!! so smooth and all passengers are seated…and now I enjoy watching a
movie with Rated R rating hhahahaa.. kinda annoying when the movie shows up a
lot of topless ladies.
Thanks for reading my post, I’m not sure if ever I will have another part 4
of my adventure and experience here at the Southwest Integrated Transport
Terminal.
My wishlist:
1. FB and Twitter page for the new terminal
2. more comfort rooms
3. Jollibee
4. More security guards or police
5. One way entrance with inspection
6. more food stalls
7. blower fan - to take out those carbon monoxide coming from the bus
8. more bus entrance to the terminal - having one entrance will take more time for your bus to arrive in the station, bec. of the long bus line
9. a visible help desk for passengers
10. Paging system
