National
Geographic Channel together with Pedigree, PAWS, Mandaluyong Animal Care
Hospital and other partners presents the 2013 NGC Pedigree University.
Dogs or most commonly known as "Man's best friend" are the stars of this
event as everybody competes to be at the top spot. The event started with a bark
as breeds across the country came to register. Big dogs, small dogs, dogs of all
shapes and sizes are the participants.
Registration started as scheduled, dogs and their owners marched their way to
each classes that are a must to complete. Walk-in participants are welcomed to
present their pet's talent and capabilities and to enjoy this event.
As the number of people started to increase, media and owners of their
beloved pets took pictures, roamed around and the other took their rest under
the shades...
A number of breeds were able to join the specified curriculum and owners of
each kind were able to learn the benefits, do's and don'ts and what their pets
wants them to do.
Here are a few breeds: Shih-Tzu, Chow-chow, Siberian Husky, Labrador (Black and Yellow), Golden
Retriever, Chihuahua, Boxer, Great Dane, Pitbull, Pug, Pomeranian,
Poodle,Chuckrussell, Beagle and the like....
The star talent Mikki and the dog trainer Jun Lazarte presented Mikki's
tricks about how to train dogs and how they react to people, the right way to
train them and giving pets the respect they need.
Tents were set up for each subjects that participants must take to qualify
and they are as follows:
Science: Interesting dog facts
English: Interpreting dog's body language,
facial expressions etc..
Class Orientation: what should be taken into
consideration
Art Class: Artists to draw dog portraits.
Gym: socialization
class
PE: Athletics, basic dog fitness
Clinic: free check-up and
consultation
Locker Room: pampering stations (free massage, nail trimming)
for dogs
Canteen: Pedigree booth.
NatGeo Booth: Talent shows for the
dogs
Assembly hall: stage area where the main program, registration and
awarding will be done at 4pm.
The Pedigree Paw Pledge registration was a success. Treats and samples were
given away and professional photographers took pictures of the dogs so that they
can be popular and buyers of the photo and its proceeds will be donated to the
victims of #yolandaPH.
The
press interviewed Dr. Lanie Acero of Pedigree and Jude Torcuato Head of Fox
Phils / NGC Phils. As they answer the question about the product (Pedigree) and
the coverage of the event and when it will be available for viewing. Other
related questions spout as the interview peaks.
The event was a great success for both owners, dog breeds, organizers and
it's partners. It definitely became a hit as the stars of the event (the dogs)
experienced the ultimate pampering, taste of the Pedigree products and exercise
under the sun.
I would say it's definitely a dogs day here at Pedigree. – John
