My friend Ron invited me to have a meet up at Chops Chicago Steakhouse in East Wing of Shangri La Plaza Mall. I told him I have tried Chops before but that was from a different branch which is located in Greenbelt 5 in Makati City. I told him that the food here in Chops is a bit expensive because they offer steaks, well usually the specialty of this restaurant is steak.
But then he said that there are some affordable food available and we can order it right away. I gave him an evil smirk and then I got the idea to do a food blog about Chops.
Here’s the food on our table, you might thought that the price range of some food here are around PHP300 – PHP 500.
But as you can see the only expensive food here is the steak and a bottle of wine.
But what about the others??? hmmm. I requested for the receipt and I was blown away that some of the food on our table are priced at PHP 180 to PHP 375 only!!
oh wow!! Okay, I will feature that here in my blog so that you can have an idea that not all posh restaurants serves expensive food, they also offer budget food..
But before I show you the food.

I only have 5 kinds of food on the table. You might think that they are normal food here in Chops. But I have to admit that these food are no ordinary. For me they are extra ordinary, because the flavor just blown me away.
I have some favorite food and also food that I hate to eat, but I was celebrating a no-pasta day that day, but I have no choice but to eat and try their pasta here in Chops.
Every customer they always serve this complimentary garlic bread with cheese dip.
Its your free appetizer while waiting for the arrival of your food.
The preparation can be around 10-15min. depending on the kind of food you order.

Here’s your veggie and bacon mix salad.
I’m so happy because they put lots of crushed bacon as toppings for our salad.
Lucky Luciano

a Pasta with ground angus fennel meatballs, spicy garlic sausage, Italian gravy with melted Parmesan cheese
I did some research and I think Chops already changed the look of their Lucky Luciano. From linguini, their Lucky Luciano is now a lasagna kind.
Truffle Mac n Chiz

Oh my Food!! this is my favorite here in Chops. The aroma of the truffle in this Mac n Chiz is very tempting. I tried to avoid this because I want to hug the rib eye steak on my plate, but the aroma will just keep you out of focus and will tempt you for a nice bite.
With an affordable price of PHP 180.
I can order two Mac n Chiz for me and devour this with lots of truffle love.
Smoked Bacon and Brocolli

Another affordable food here in Chops.
The bacon meat was soaked on oil and also smoked juice of the meat. It’s a bit spicy because of the gravy with lots of pepper. It’s a good pair for a beer or wine.
I can order this with a nice Mac n Chiz.
Its only PHP 180 each.
Rib Eye steak 10oz.
PHP 1,250
No one leaves our table when this steak arrives hahaha. Its like holy grail of food on our table. We just enjoyed the affordable meal first and then took a bite of this rib eye steak after bathing it with their gravy.
Oh man… its like I’m in heaven hahaha.;
Its always good in medium rare cooking.
Dark Chocolate Cigars

I highly promoted this dark choco cigars. Its not really a cigar, but it’s a barquillos wrapped in choco and with cream filling and white choco.
Edel ordered this, I forgot what its called.
It’s a vanilla ice cream with dark chocolate at the bottom.
It comes with a dark choco cigar.
Its one of the best line of choco temptations here in Chops
Ahahaha. cigar is bad to your health… but for the dark choco cigar..its best for your heart
