I always dreamed of tasting and munching those sandwiches and burgers that I see in Hollywood movies, they come in a big serving and packed with lots of meat. I also wished that these sandwiches from New York should visit us here in Manila sometimes, but hey! add some of those episodes of Man vs Food and series of fast food and diners feature in cable tv. But last August 2015, the long wait is over because these NY style sandwiches and burgers that are mostly served in NYC diners are now here in Resorts World Manila.
NYPD – not the New York Police Department, but it means New York Pinoy Deli. The restaurant concepts combines the best NY deli and also our very own Pinoy Deli.
There’s the original and also a fusion. But which grub we pinoys love to patronize?? syempre I’ll dig the NY deli, but for others, like the foreigners and balikbayan, they still prefer the Pinoy deli because it’s the only think that can give them the taste of the Filipino flavor
NYPD restaurant is located inside the casino ground floor of Resorts World Manila. According to the marketing team of RWManila, they will put up a special access to their casino restaurants so that minors can come along and try these yummy food at the casino area.
Inside NYPD you can spot the Central Park Island Buffet
Price per person is PHP 550
and PHPP 250 per person when you want to add the buffet to your main course

The most awesome part of NYPD is that they give you a replica of the NYC sky scape, just look above the ceiling you’ll see the iconic buildings that covers the sky of NYC.
I love this mug..I hope they sell it to me next time hahaha.

I just learned the “pour some honey” on top of my sandwich from Mr. Scott, he introduces to us these NYPD delights and I so love the NY concept. I didn’t know that sandwiches with honey on top will work to me and its so good.
Monte Cristo sandwich is like a crepe or pancake because of its soft texture.
5th Avenue Fresh Roast Turkey Sandwich
"roast turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato and onions on sesame seed bun"

5th Avenue is so packed with thick turkey meat and some bacons, People who love burgers can also switch to this sandwich because it contains lots of proteins..I can only eat half of it because its too big.
Reuben Sandwich

My favorite sandwich here in NYPD. The Reuben Sandwich is the mother of all sandwich to me here in NYPD. The sauerkraut added soury sweet flavor and this will give you more munching powers to eat more because its so tasty and meaty.
According to Mr. Scott that this is his favorite and he supervises the kitchen with the chef to monitor the taste balance and give the real NY Reuben sandwich to us pinoys.
Im so happy with this sandwich, it’s a bit pricey but its okay….no need to go to New York for this deli
Lechon Kawali
For the pinoy side, NYPD is preparing to offer our pinoy food favorites, just like the sinful Lechon Kawali. According to Chef Tubby, they will offer more pinoy dishes but will check which one will remain in their menu.
Chicken Adobo

Me and Enzo were amazed to see that you can add string beans to your adobo.
It’s a version of a salty sweet adobo kind.
For my preference, I like the soury adobo.
Pritson – lechon wrapped in crepe
I can only taste a peking duck wrapped in crepe, but for NYPD they give us a lechon version

I also tried their papaitan…..okay lang, but they lessen the bitter taste, I think its to balance the taste and they added beef meat instead of the internal organs of a cow.

The tinapa spaghetti is a crowd favorite here in NYPD. I don’t like salty food, but there are times that Its fun to eat tinapa under a cold rainy weather.
