TV5
launched their election coverage campaign for our Philippines election 2016 and
they started as early as September 2015 to bring you the information using the
data from partners and also engaging with the Filipino voters in all 360
platforms – that’s tv, digital, mobile, newspaper, radio and social
media.
TV5 started here to bring you the Bilang Pilipino portal website
--
www.bilangpilipino.com It’s a
portal for voters who want to keep track on the news about the coming election,
see the info of the upcoming Presidential candidates, and also get access
to COMELEC’s database and get to know who won on each town, city or province of
the Philippines.
Here’s
the full page of
www.bilangpilipino.com Here’s
a sample screenshot on how they deliver the info you need. For example, in
Bacoor, Cavite, by accessing the website, you can learn who won in your town and
see who’s the strongest candidate last 2010.
Bilang

”Bilang”
means a number of things, and “Bilang Pilipino” signals three things about TV5’s
coverage – 1st it speaks to the content, it will be heavy not just with facts,
but with numbers, 2nd it will speaks to their mission: in an election, every
vote, every voter, every Filipino counts and lastly Bilang Filipino is a call to
action, for everyone to be serious about it and also be responsible in all
actions, and think about our country’s future. – according to Luchi Cruz
Valdes.
The
launch of TV5’s Bilang Pilipino gave a big wow factor to every voter, especially
that info is already there, its up to us to be aware on what’s going on, We no
longer rely on by watching TV or listen to news on radio, now that we have the
data we need, let’s put it in good use, let’s use it to think about the future
of the Philippines and filter all those trapo politicians who will try to get a
higher seat. In this age of social media and internet, its no longer an excuse
to say “we didn’t know about it” , its up to us to act and move our self to be
aware anytime and anywhere.
