I
finally tried and tasted Costa Coffee, its one of the most talked about coffee
store ever since they opened their 1st store branch in Eastwood City and then
their 2nd store in Robinsons Manila, and now I finally got a chance to try it at
their new opened 3rd branch here in One World Place building in 32nd St. corner
9th ave. in BGC.
I got some chances to try during the 1st store opening
but the location is too far from my route and its hard to commute going in
Eastwood City if you are coming from the South. I was hoping to try it in their
2nd branch in Robinsons Manila, but most of my activities are usually happening
in Makati, BGC and Ortigas. I just can’t get myself away from EDSA because it’s
the only route that I can take when Im going home, so even if its traffic, Im
very comfortable when Im in EDSA, so I guess that the 1st two branches are not
for us Southerners, but we’re now glad that a store in BGC is now open and many
coffee fans are starting to ignite again the Costa Coffee craze because there’s
a branch near our location.
I’m
so curious why its so popular to coffee fans here in the Philippines, maybe
because Costa Coffee is the number 1 coffee store in the U.K. and their imported
coffee beans are roasted directly from their land. Its much more different from
the roasting of beans in the USA but I need more info if there’s a difference of
taste and preparation of a UK coffee.
At
their media and opening day in BGC, I got this photo after I finish my cake and
I thought that it will be posted on their Facebook but its actually for a take
home photo print hahahah. That’s me on my 38 years of age and with the 24 year
old looking Annalyn Jusay hahahaa.
Costa
Coffee branch in BGC is very cute, hip and eye candy. Their display and fixtures
are all UK-ish. That telephone booth reminds me of a sci fi series and that
couch reminds me of the Spice Girls hahaha.
I guess that people are
going crazy with Costa Coffee because it’s a new thing for us to that came from
the UK.
I’m still puzzled about the distinct taste of their food and
coffee, Im sure there’s something that I need to discover. I’m going to find out
soon after a personal visit in their BGC store.
Its
my first time to attend an open bar in a coffee store, for their opening day
they told me that I can order anything I want…for FREE.. OMGGGGGG
I
don’t know what should I order that day because Im not familiar with their
offerings and what’s the best seller. Jeman told me to try this Original London
Cheesecake and that Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, for the coffee, Im a bit
clueless because I need to pick one, or two or three drinks to try and discover
their unique taste.
So
While I line up at the counter….I started to ogle the display window of their
food
Im thinking what if I order the same order of the person infront of me
at the counter hahaha.
She ordered all the food displayed…but I don’t want to
punish myself eat all of it..but I need to be more smart, because I want to
enjoy the food bit by bit.
And
that Blueberry muffin is an apple of my eye…. see that glorious muffin with
blueberry fruit on top…
and Im very happy with it… I took it home and ate it
for my breakfast…. Im going back for this muffin
Each
coffee store have their own title or label for their cold beverages, here in
Costa Coffee, they call it as Frostino.
And yeah..I ordered that Double
Chocolate Frostino… its good…. but I suggest pair it with a non choco
cake.
Wow…their espresso
machine is one eye catchy…
RJ
Ledesma hosted the event program and after that I hear all the British guest
from Costa Coffee talks on the mic and I felt that Im watching a marathon of
Harry Potter movie.. hahaha.. The Younghusbands are there too and add more
Harry Potterish vibe.
My
view from my table.
Oh
there’s the time machine! hahahaha
Barista
in action.
Two barista from Costa Coffee branches in Manila did a live
competition of who’s the fastest and the most perfect preparation of hot coffee
latte for the event guest.
London
Bus paper toy….. displayed in all table.
Costa
Coffee Philippines’ treat this Halloween season.
Its available now in their
store.
And
here’s my Blueberry muffin…ohh so glorious…..
I got the bad move to place
this on our ref, but it tasted more good when its cold..Imma gonna do it again
hahaha.
The
London cheese cake ran out of stock…… so they served me this cheesy cake….its
good…and It’s a good pair to my Strawberry Frostino.
Cheers
to Costa Coffee Philippines for their 3rd branch here in the
Philippines….
btw, that’s my Double Chocolate Frostino
And
ohhh I super love their Strawberry Frostino…. ok na ok ang taste…
Next…..
try their hot coffee…Im hearing about some good reviews about their hot
beverage.I will try that soon.
