Here’s my full photo coverage of the awards night of the
41st Metro Manila Film Festival 2015. The event happened at Kia Theater in
Araneta Cubao (that’s the old New Frontier Theater, now converted into an
awesome cinema and events theater)
I used my Nikon D5300 with kit lens in
covering this event, I’m so unprepared for this because I left my Olympus E-520
DSLR with 55-150mm lens. But what I did is that I cropped the photo taken by my
Nikon and fixed the framing in order to give an awesome photo coverage (with a
kit lens hahaha).
The MMFF 2015 this year is so tense and also
controversial, but I guess this will be a start that we might expect better
movies next year after the up roar of fans and movie creators of Erik Matti’s
film “Honor Thy Father”, due to disqualification and removal to win a Best
Picture award.
But over all, the MMFF 2015 is a success and thanks to
the disqualification issue, because it opened a lot of minds and insights that
we should “demand better films for the Philippines”.
Congratulations to
all nominees and also winners of this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
