Im here today in Subic Bay, Olongapo City to cover and attend the annual Alaska IronKids Philippines 2017. Im not aware that there's a kid version for a triathlon race, and I thought that its just mainly offered for adults to compete in the most difficult race, because it involves swimming, running and also biking.
But for the kids version, which they call it the Alaska IronKids , the race is scheduled to happen a day before the Ironman Philippines triathlon for adults. This March 11, 2017, starting at 5am, kids ages 6-14 years old will be clustered to race according to same age level at the new venue in Wow Subic Recreation and Activity Center, which will be start for the swimming and transition and finish line is at the Remy Field Oval Track and Sports Center.
Alaska IronKids is doing this for 6 years already, and the sports event for kids will help them develop the values of discipline, determination, hard work, sportsmanship and persistence through a series of race obstacles.
Kid participants for the Alaska Ironkids are well trained and preparing for this annual triathlon for kids for months, so Im sure all of them are prepared, physically fit and mentally fit.
Its funny that I've posted an early article for the junior triathlon, I just want to post a prelude blog post because I super enjoy the fast wifi here in our hotel.
Tomorrow is race day!!! me and the rest of the bloggers squad are so ready to cover and learn how this annual junior triathlon help kids master their emotions, have mental toughness and be physically prepared.
