Araneta Center to light up Giant Christmas Tree tonight
Friday, November 17, 2017
Everyone are invited to come and celebrate Araneta Center's light up event of their giant Christmas Tree. If you are around Cubao, then come at around 5pm to watch the tree lighting program, see live local celebrities and grand fireworks that will welcome the opening of Christmas season in Araneta Center.
Did you know that the Araneta Center is the first to build the tallest Christmas Tree and it became the popular symbol of Paskong Pinoy when it was first lighted up in 1981. It became an annual tradition at Araneta Center to light up the tree as a sign of the start of Christmas Season in the Philippines.
This 2017, to mark its 36th year, the 100-foot Christmas tree will be lighted up at new location in Times Square Food Park on Times Square Avenue corner Roxas avenue near the Araneta Center Bus station, that's behind Shopwise. Last time, Araneta Center always place the giant tree in between Araneta Coliseum and Farmers Market, but this year, the new location will light up the new wing of Araneta Center filled with food parks, shopping centers and Christmas displays that are perfect for selfies and groufies.
