Gini Santos, a supervising animator at Pixar is here in Manila for the promotion of Disney and Pixar's new animated movie -- COCO. Gini visit the Philippines for the movie promo or maybe she's here because of some talk or conference, she's here also to accept a recognition award from the City of Pasay and an award from the OPPA Foundation (Original Pilipino Performing Arts), because she's an inspiration to our local artist and we're happy that she's here to feature another upcoming animated movie -- COCO.

Gini Santos is involved in making of Disney-Pixar movies such as Toy Story, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Up and also she's the supervising animator for Coco.

COCO is about a young boy who got lost in the spirit world during the Mexican holiday "day of the dead", he is on the hunt for his late grand father to help him get back to the world of the living and convince his family to accept him as a young musician. The movie will take you in a journey to the other side with colorful scenes with not so scary theme, a different kind of celebration for the dead and how the Mexicans remember and honor their dear departed.

COCO will be showing in all Philippine cinemas this November 22, 2017. Movie is under the distribution of Walt Disney Studios PH.

Hector, Miguel and Dante the dog singing and walking on the flowery bridge, a bridge that connects the world of the dead to the world of the living.

My reaction about the movie.
Thanks to Walt Disney and Resorts World Manila for inviting me to watch a press preview of COCO, The movie is one of the best again from Disney and Pixar, it seems that they are so pro when it comes to movements of the characters, emotions and how it can connect the story to us movie viewers.

Everything is life like already, there are times that the animated scenes looks so real and not animated. I've viewed a short docu about how they did the research about the Day of the dead festival in Mexico, and it seems that they are so good at observing everything around them and copy the entire theme, structure, people, mannerism and culture of the real world and transfer it to the animated world.

Coco, just like other top and best Disney-Pixar films, like Toy Story, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Up, Cars and etc. All of it can be appreciated by kids and adults because it will play along with your emotions.

Its a fun movie to watch for the entire family.

I just wish that next time.... Disney and Pixar will do their research here in our country and make a movie about it. I guess its time for the Philippines to be the next setting for a Disney-Pixar animated movie.
