December 13, 2017 is Star Wars day here in the Philippines, we celebrate for the return of Star Wars in the big screen and release the Chapter 8 of the Star Wars saga. Me and my son Ashton are so excited to watch Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Im glad that he joined me in this adventure because its his destiny to be a Star Wars fan...just like my father before me.
Thanks to SM Cinema for inviting us, and we had fun being a jedi and sith that day in SM MOA and we also saw the life size Tie Silencer of Kylo Ren, my son got geekly eyes when we took a peak behind the curtain before the big unveiling -- sorry..it was an accident that we saw it when we entered the venue.
Here's our get up --- I wear a Star Wars shirt by Uniqlo and Ashton wears his Star Wars shirt long sleeve -- I think its from Uniqlo too. We got this shirt since last year, a month after the Force Awakens release.
At the event, we brought our duel ready light sabers with us for funand we did a photo op with some jedis and Kylo Ren's team.
Our light sabers are from SABER SOURCE, one of the best distributors of duel ready light sabers in the Philippines.
go check out their FB page at

Here I use the "Rage" Crossguard lightsaber - its similar to Kylo Ren's crossguard light saber but it uses a different crossguard hilt, but the effects and sounds are so life-like. (SRP PHP 12.5k)
My son uses the Wonderforce Hitoren v.4 light saber. Its color blue and its similar to Luke and Rey's light saber from the movie, but uses a custom made hilt. (SRP PHP 9.9k)
Ohh the First Order logo
Coolness to see a statue of Snoke's Elite Praetorian Guard
They just stand there but they are ready to defend and attack once their Supreme Leader Snoke lifts an order.
Me and Ashton are ready to fight!!! haha
This is one of the best photo op center at SM Cinema's event
It simulates the lobby inside the Death Star.
Ubtech demos their robotic Stormtrooper toy.
I think its a drone like figure that can walk and dance according to your programming.
Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges AR game is one of the best activity here at the Last Jedi event by SM Cinema.
Me and my son uses the light saber and see the enemy Darth Maul via the AR googles. We use the light saber to deflect and also slash the enemy virtually.
This is now available in the Philippines and you can order one at any Lenovo center
Ashton checking out a Lenovo Yoga laptop with Star Wars design
Here's our quick peek ahahahha
So that's the size of Kylo Ren's ship. Its like a size of a bus with wings
Before the start of the program. Ashton found a playmate!
In a duel saber battle with RJ Ledesma's kid hahaha
During the program proper. Ashton went to the emcee to answer a Star Wars trivia
Who is the pilot of the Tie Silencer?
Of course, my son answered it right ---- piloted by Kylo Ren!
He won a nice Star Wars string bag.
Here are the baddies....unveiling the curtain and showcasing the awesomeness of Kylo Ren's Tie Silencer which appeared first in this movie --- The Last Jedi.
During the Force Awakens movie, SM Cinema brought here a life size X-Wing Starfighter. After two years, the ship now ready to be piloted and was relocated for display in SM Seaside in Cebu City.
The X-Wing in SM Seaside will be available til Jan 8, 2017
While the Tie Silencer will be available in SM MOA from Dec 13 to Jan 8, 2017
Look at the size of that thing!!!
And the most exciting part of the event is to watch The Last Jedi movie in IMAX Theater!!!!
wohohoho!
On photo op with our local Santa Claus
hahaha. Merry Christmas!
During the end credits... me and Ashton raised our light sabers and joined by fellow fans, in memory of Carrie Fisher... So sad that she passed away after filming the movie.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now showing in all Philippine cinema. I suggest you watch it in an IMAX Theater. The 3D effects are cool and the film was made for IMAX!
My short comment of the movie ---- For me this is the best chapter of all Star Wars!!
