Powertech Asia Pacific just unveiled their new version of the Promate portable powerstation in a Solar power convention in SMX MOA. Last 2015, we got a hands on of the Promate 240 powerstation, a portable battery generator that you can use to power up your small appliances, laptop and charges your mobile devices. You can also charge the Promate 240 using your home electricity or use a 30W solar panel to charge the mini battery inside the Promate powerstation machine.
Similar with the Promate 240, the new version that was launched last weekend - the Promate 240s, the size and body are the same, but the specs on charging is much better than the previous model

A the Promate 240s launch, David Nouvelot, President of Powertech Asia Pacific, Inc. shared to us that their new Promate 240s powerstation is a big help for our home, especially during black out and if we need emergency back up power, it can also be used for out door or for camping, it can be used for charging mobile devices whenever you need it, you can also use your car charger to charge the battery while on the go and use the powerstation to power up your laptop or devices.
Reading the product description, it mentioned that the Promate 240s powerstation can power up the LED light up to 200hours, Laptop can be plugged up to 8hours, Electric fan for 2 hrs, smartphone can be charge up to 12 times and LED TV can be powered up to 4.5 hrs.
From their previous model, they are just using one 12AH battery, but now the new Promate 240s they have doubled the battery and it has now the 24AH battery for more power storage.
Promate 240s powerstation system is exclusive on its design, power inverter and its battery, you dont need to modify it or change its system because it might cause some power interruption when the system has change.
For solar panels, it uses a double 30W solar panels, and this is perfect for a fast charging up to 8hrs for full battery for the Promate 240s. Also the solar charging is upgraded which can receive the 60W solar charge.
The solar panels are not included in the bundle when you buy the Promate 240s, (I think the SRP is around PHP7k), You can add the solar panel if you need it.
(on pic: that's the old model, just to show you what the Promate powerstation can do)
I mentioned before that the design is much more the same from the previous Promate 240, but for the new version-- Promate 240s, they already removed the LED light panel at the right side and they placed the new LED light at the front. They also added the terminal output in the front, more imporved 12VDC output and a much better layout for the electric plug, eveything is infront and no need to search around the housing.
Its plug and play and no need to assemble it.

As of today, that's the latest product from Powertech Asia Pacific. The upgraded version of the Promate 240 is a good impression of what will be the next for the future. Accdg to their Powertech President, they are developing more portable powerstation and it will be introduced once they have completed their test and research
Here in the Philippines, we are prone to typhoons and natural disasters, in order to have a comfy and worry free lifestyle, we need portable powerstation with solar chargers to make sure that we are always connected and have a back up power whenever we need it during emergencies.
