First IMAX with Laser in Southeast Asia Now at Vista Cinemas’ Evia Lifestyle Center in Alabang

Watching movies in the big screen is already an experience but have you tried watching it in an IMAX cinema with Laser? Vista Cinema now offers this one of a kind movie experience in Evia Lifestyle Center Mall in Alabang. Recently launched last November 2018, it is the first-ever IMAX with Laser in Southeast Asia that offers richer images, powerful sound and a new level of movie immersion.

Ticket is at 650 pesos, comes with free popcorn and drink

Sharper images, increased brightness, striking contrast and vibrant colors!

Wondering where the Laser part comes into the picture? Next-generation 4k laser projection! It has a new optical engine and a lot of new IMAX technologies that delivers an enhanced  resolution, stunning images, truer blacks and deeper contrast.

John Schreiner, Senior VP for Theatre Development (IMAX)

“We took away the prism that were used in the projection system so every single projector in the world uses a prism to refract the light and as the light passes through the light source via the laser system, or regular projection light bulb. The light were always refracted and the issue with that is that it was causing issues with contrast and the images were not as bright. We decided to take that out of the system and completely redesign it.

And what that means is we’re now have a projection system which use the purest light possible and the laser lights flow through the projection system and they get on the chips in a direct manner.. It allows us to get these images on the screen in the clearest crystal way possible.”

Along with the huge crystal clear screen display, the next-generation 12-channel IMAX sound system completes the next-level movie experience that is custom built depending on the specific size and built of the theatre.

Even the tiniest drop of water at the back and the thundering sounds of an action scene will reach your eardrum and differentiate the two. The dynamic range and the realness of the sound effects will be music to your ears. No delay in sounds and it’s also laser-aligned sound!

Lots of seats and took some time to roam around if it still viewable around the corners..definitely still acceptable to watch with that huge screen.

The seats are from Figueroa, one of the leading seating companies in the world, which are very comfy and spacious.

Viewing in IMAX theatre are optimized as seen in the IMAX Screen Geometry

For December, expect Mortal Engines and Aquaman to be screened at the IMAX with Laser Cinema.

At the media launch, we watched IMAX trailers and some in 3D to experience it first hand. We watched the Aquaman trailer and yep, felt like you’re inside a giant aquarium inside the IMAX with Laser theatre. The colors popped and you can definitely tell the big difference compared with watching it on a regular cinema or IMAX. Also watched a 40 minute panda documentary shot on IMAX Camera and all I can say is it's the best seat and movie experience I had so far.
