HUAWEI BAND 6 - Full review and how I use it at home and during outdoor

Here's my full review and how I use the newly launched Huawei Band 6 in the real world.  Im not into a physical fitness training, but I've use this in some of my outdoor activities and also while Im inside my home.

We know that fitness tracker with wearable feature are mostly used for tracking the data of their movement, but with the new Huawei Band 6, it tracks more than just movement of data, but it also monitor your heartbeat and oxygen saturation aka SPO2 for 24 hours, yeah that's right, the tracking still goes on and data will be recorded if you wear it properly.

Also the plus points here that the battery life of the Band 6 can last up to 2 weeks!

At home, I enjoy using the Huawei Band 6 to track my body status like heartbeat BPM, SPO2, Stress level, Sleep data, Outdoor biking data, walk and run data and GPS and also... find my phone hahaha

THE REVIEW

Pairing the Huawei Band 6 to your smartphone with the Huawei Health app is so easy. At first I thought it will difficult, because I did not read the manual, but when I turn on the Band 6, I noticed that the QR Code for the Huawei Health app is suggested for me to download, but Im glad that my Huawei P30 is already ready and it runs already the Health app, for those who are using a non-Huawei smartphone, It is suggested that you download and install the Huawei Health app.

You need the Health app for the monitoring and use the other features of the Band 6.

Pairing it is so easy, just go to your Huawei Health app and go to device and pair it via Bluetooth, once it pairs, the Huawei Band 6 will auto update its firmware and it will be ready for us.

I think the process took me for 30 minutes to finish all the pairing and also updating the Band 6.

I noticed that he Band 6 did an update for 2 times. I just waited it to finish.

Take note that you need to pair the Band 6 to your smartphone, and your smartphone connected to the internet, because the Band 6 will use the WIFI from your smartphone in order to update its system.

Thats why it took me 30 minutes because the updating and download is slow on my end.

The magnetic charger of the Band 6 is very rare, dont loose it and make sure you have a proper storage when not in use. I have a strong feeling that this magnetic charger is expensive when you buy it at the Huawei Store.

so Ingat lang at wag iwala ito.

Huawei Band 6 is designed to track your movements and also it tracks what's going on inside your body. For my outdoor biking, I only bike for 30 min to 1 hr. only, and that's the limitation of my movement here because I don't want to go out of our village due to the pandemic situation.

For tracking, I use the outdoor biking work out feature on the Huawei Band 6, take note that you still need to pair this to your Huawei Health App on your smartphone to track the GPS  and also the duration of your biking activities.

Heart BPM is also displayed , and also the speed of your biking. There's also the KCAL.

Also I just learned that you can use your phone while doing the workout activities with GPS tracking. Last time when I used it, I pressed the wrong button on my phone and the Health app notified me that I need to press pause if there's something that I need to do on my phone. But then there's the home button on the phone to transfer me to the  main menu and I can use some of the apps while the Health app and Band 6 tracks my movement and my body.

During my first test, I cancelled my tracking because I need to use my phone in taking photos.

As I mentioned earlier, Im not into fitness workout hahaa, and because I now use the Band 6, Im now motivated to try other physical activities.

Thea heart bpm, SPO2 and Stress level data are so helpful, here I can tell if my body is tired and I need to rest, and also reading the heart bpm rate is a bit worry, because sometimes my heart beat is fast even if Im in my resting mode, or maybe because of the coffee Im drinking, its already strong hahaha

One of good use of the Huawei Band 6 for me is that I can control the music and Youtube playback on my Huawei P30 smartphone.

Also, I can use the remote shutter feature to take photos or record videos using my Huawei P30 smartphone.

If you want to use this feature, make sure that you are connected via Bluetooth.

The Huawei Band 6 is now a part of my body accessory, sometimes I wear it and sometimes I just let it sit on my table. If ever I want to see my heart bpm or stress level, I just wear the Band 6 and let it track whats going on inside my body.

But if ever Im not moving or doing a workout, I wear the Band 6 just like a regular watch. Its one of the best feature is the track of time.

Also I did not like the Band 6 that tells you to stand up and move hahaha. Its a bit of a distraction when Im doing something like - playing mobile games, blogging, watching TV or using my laptop.

But its a good feature of the Band 6 to remind us that our body need to stretch and making sure that we move properly everyday for a good blood circulation.

There are times that I misplace my phone, and Im glad that the Huawei Band 6 has this feature to alert and locate your phone. If you remember that you pair it via Bluetooth, then you can find your phone using the Huawei Band 6. The phone will talk and it will say "I'm here!!!" many times.

I know its scary when your phone starts talking hahaha.

For me this is one of the feature that is helpful to me.

Huawei Band 6 is not just a smartwatch and fitness tracker. It is already an add on gadget that can help us monitor our movements and also health.

Thanks to the Huawei Health app, a not so active person like me will be motivated to move, do exercise and monitor his body.

Back then, I just skip on checking the Health app, because Im not a sporty person, but then once I get to wear this Huawei Band 6, I learned that monitoring your health is a big add on to our knowledge and it serves as a reminder that in this time of pandemic, a person should be physically fit and healthy.

Monitoring the heart bpm sometimes add some paranoia to me, there are some questions of -- am I healthy or not,  or maybe I should stop sitting around and start moving, or my heart is a bit weird.

Wearing the Band 6 properly will give a good data result, but then there are times that I remove it from my wrist and then after 2-3 days I will wear it again. I need to wait for the accurate data to reflect, I hope that there's a data or notification that Im being tracked or not. Because reading the data after 1-2 min of wearing it , Im a bit clueless.

But its working properly when you wear it after some minutes.

Huawei Band 6 is a good wearable gadget. Im not a fan before of fitness trackers, but now the Huawei Band 6 generates a lot of data from your body when you use it and wear it properly.

But having this on my wrist is now a game changer. I dont leave home without it, it is now part of my wearable gadget and its good that we should track our body because it can help us translate those data and tell if there's something wrong or we might learn we are not healthy.
