Making Jolly Memories with Jollibee and Enervon Prime

Families now have more reasons to continue making memorable moments together – even with their older folks. With the new partnership between Enervon Prime and Jollibee, food-loving Pinoys don’t just reinforce past memories, but they get the chance to make new ones as well.

Jollibee, the country’s largest fast food chain, teams up with Unilab Nutritionals, makers of Enervon Prime the nutritional drink for older adults, for a promo that aims to further strengthen the bond of today’s Filipino families.

A message to all my blog readers from the King of Comedy, Dolphy

SAM_2984
me and Dolphy

Medyo nanginginig pa ko sa kaba after meeting Dolphy for the 1st time, this event is very memorable to me, because I've been watching all his films during my youngling years (2980's-2000's) and now he's here with us at the Nobody Nobody But Juan movie press con. After 3 years of rest or retirement, he's back in doing a movie directed by his son  Eric Quizon, the movie is an official entry for the Manila Film Festival 2009 and it will be shown in all theaters on Christmas day, December 25, 2009. Dolphy is joined with fellow Sampaguitan actors like Eddie Garcia and Gloria Romero. He said that this could be his last movie, but he is very open if there are movie offers, he will continue to entertain us with his comedic movie acting if ever his body can do all the projects.

Great to see him in person and everyone loves him, easy to talk to and fun to be with. I super love Dolphy! the real comedy king of Philippine cinema and tv.

Nobody...but me and Heart Evangelista

SAM_2989
I met Heart Evangelista for the 2nd time, and I usually see her during events and sometimes in Greenbelt at night. But I got stunned by her beauty and hotness, so I kept a lot of confidence to take photos of her, and I froze after seeing her do some poses for my camera, and then I proceeded to my assignment in covering their press conference for the movie with Dolphy titled, "Nobody Nobody But Juan", Heart Evangelista is part of the movie as the young character of Gloria Romero.

I just saw the movie trailer in Youtube and it was lovely to see Heart doing ballet on stage with Vandolph and Epi Quizon, according to Heart that she loves and dreamed to be a ballerina and she now did try some ballet acts and wear a white tutu for the movie. Heart is one of the lucky young stars to have a movie with our great movie icons like Dolphy, Eddie Garcia and Gloria Romero for Nobody Nobody But Juan. This movie will be shown on December 25, 2009 and an official entry for the Manila Film Festival 2009 under Regal Films.

and after having a photo with her, she notices and comment about my Samsung ST 550 2view camera ehhehe

Vote for your favorite tsinelas tale on WanderingJuan.com

Arnol Jumpay
The entries for Cebu Pacific’s Wandering Juan photo contest have been trimmed down to the final 15, and it’s up to you to help determine which three best depict the Filipino travel spirit.

Hundreds of photos were submitted to the competition, which provided travelers an online venue for showcasing their adventures through photos featuring a pair of tsinelas—the trusted companion of most Pinoy travelers.

For finalists like Ariel Chua and Celi Cieri, the motivation went beyond the prizes.

“The chance to share the beautiful places I have visited through Cebu Pacific encourage[d] me to capture the very best of every [destination] I visited,” proclaimed Chua.

“It is typical for Filipino travelers to travel with their tsinelas,” said Cieri. “The contest reminds me of the lakwatsero and lakwatsera in us Pinoys.”

Meanwhile for Karen Katherine Gonzales, it was about highlighting a place—in her case Iloilo—and featuring its fun-loving people and rich culture.(more below)

Been looking for a kick ass shoes for me, and thanks to my mom for directing me to design my own Nike sneakers using the Nike ID website. It is so easy to use and fun to design your own style, selecting your preferred colors and material to be used. My color is a black sneaker with a purple lining and a white color for the Nike label. And plus!!! I added my full name on my Nike shoes! astig di ba.

for only $110 US, you can wear this and have a unique Nike shoes if you are like me who don't like to wear shoes that everyone have at home hheheh. So sad that the delivery of this custom made shoes is for US only, so if you have relatives in the US, you can ask them to order it for you and let them ship it here in Manila.

The process took around 2 weeks in the US.

The 1st Facebook account for an ape: Female Orangutan "Nonja" goes online

pics by SAMSUNG Austria | Switzerland | Slovenia

Sensation at Schönbrunn Zoo! Web 2.0 is about to find its way into the animal kingdom: In early December 2009, the female Orangutan Nonja is the first ape worldwide to have it’s own Facebook account. And the account is absolutely stunning: Many photographs of the ape’s everyday life are to be found there, taken and uploaded onto Facebook my Nonja herself. This is made possible thanks to the all-new ST 1000 provided by Samsung, the first and only digital camera worldwide that can establish a Wi-Fi connection with platforms such as Facebook, Flickr, YouTube etc. and still is as easy to use as a child’s toy. Well, actually an ape’s toy in this special case.

Nonja, born at Schönbrunn Zoo in 1976, was raised by a local stock broker and is therefore already familiar with human environment. She is already famous for her artful painting skills and has already created more than 250 paintings with a brush and paint. One of her paintings even sold for more than €2,000! Now, Nonja has ”upgraded” to the third millennium and has swapped her paint brush for the Samsung camera. For now, she is communicating via http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nonja/190010092116. Aga Muhlach and Jollibee brings early Christmas to typhoon-hit schools in Manila

PC065957
It was such a nice feeling to see that Jollibee is here to help the less fortunate people and for this year they added a new Christmas giveaway to public schools as part of the Maaga Pasko, this new event project for charity is called Chritmas Caravan, as Aga Muhlach said, for almost 15 years he's involved in this project, a new way of bringing Christmas to fellow citizen is to visit them and hand the gifts personally. You should believe that this is the country's biggest and longest running toy and book donative drive that is now in new heights of the spirit of giving by Jollibee.
SAM_2710
Me and my blogger pinoypopcast.com buddies were there to cover the event and also interviewed Aga Muhlach. This was my 2nd interview with him about the Maaga ang Pasko by Jollibee. 35 schools will be visited onsite and all of them will receive donations of toys and books that can be used for their education and kid lifestyle. A total of 40,000 toys and books were collected since the project started this year and then Vibal Publishing just donated lots of workbook and text books for young students. (read more below)

RP pushes tourism growth at World Travel Expo

LONDON - The Philippines joined hundreds of exhibitors at the World Travel Market (WTM) show in London, as part of an ongoing long-term strategy to boost tourism into the country.

Together with members of the Philippine travel industry, the Department of Tourism (DOT) presented to a global audience of travel professionals who are looking for business opportunities.

The annual event, held at ExCel Exhibition Centre in the Royal Docks, is among the biggest events in the travel industry, attracting thousands of participants from all over the world including tourism boards, hotels, tour operators, entrepreneurs, airlines and specialist publications. (read more below)

“The World Travel Market is a very significant venue where international stakeholders composed of different markets and countries come together for an intensive business-to-business exchange with immediate results,” said Ace Durano, Secretary of Tourism.

Taking an active part in the WTM for 25 years, the DOT is one of the pioneers in the travel mart, a major venue for promotion on an international platform, and responding to issues and concerns of tour operators, clients and consumers.

“We have high expectations from this trade fair. We’ve been around the world attending shows, and it’s our first time to really tap into the UK and European market,” said Isabel Garcia from Boracay Regency Beach Resort, who attended the expo for the first time.

She added that these events have the potential to attract new interests, “This is the best channel to invite all Europeans to go to the Philippines and Boracay as their next destination. It plays a big factor in improving sales, production and tourism.”

The trade event also provided a positive outlook for tourism in 2010.
The tourism chief noted, “As gleaned from the WTM Global Trends Report, we are looking at a better year head, with new measures in place to reverse the slump and forge on to recovery.”

Citing the research of Euromonitor International, Durano said that the sector is more solid than ever with a major shift of priorities by reinforcing strengths and resources to address the threats.

The UNWTO World Tourism Barometer complements the WTM Report, which indicated that ‘the rate of decline has eased from January to August of 2009,’ and stated that a ‘moderate growth can be expected’ for the following year.

Undersecretary Eduardo Jarque, Jr., highlighting results from the travel mart said, “Closing deals, creating open communication, and generating publicity in the international arena are just some of the tangible benefits we reap from large-scale events such as the WTM.” Jarque also mentioned that a number of resorts have likewise managed to become part of international tour programs, while others were selected to be featured in specialist publications like Luxury Spas.

Domingo Enerio III, DOT-London Tourism Attache expressed, “We are one of the few who enjoy a firm partnership with the private sector. And this united front that we exhibit to our markets definitely gains us their trust and confidence.”

Joining DOT was a host of service providers from the Philippine travel sector, including Annset Holidays, Baron Travel Corporation, Blue Horizons Travel & Tours, Bellaroca Island Resort, Boracay Regency Beach Resort/Regency Lagoon, El Nido Resorts, Eskaya Beach Resort, Filtravel, Hermes Agencia de Viajes, Intas Destination Management, Manila Hotel, Misibis Bay Raintree/HSAI Collection of Hotels and Resorts Philippines, One World Travel Express, Philippine Eagle Foundation, Rajah Tours Philippines, Shroff International, Southern Travel Corporation, St. Christopher Travel, Surelite Travel, and T.R.I.P.S. Travel.

The World Travel Market is one of largest gatherings of travel professionals from around the globe. Celebrating its 30th year, it provides an international platform on which tourism boards and service providers could forge business relationships and create opportunities for each other. It is also an open forum where travel professionals could address issues affecting the industry, including sustainability, technological developments, economic conditions, trends, emerging markets, and the environment.
