day 1 coverage - 15th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

We're still here in Pampanga in a comfy hotel, we decided to have another round in watching the colorful hot air balloons, and because that we missed the sunrise morning fly in and just saw today the sunset fly in. It's a fun trip and also sight to see these colorful balloons, they converted that 2 airplane hanger into a bazaar area and exhibit by air and mechanic school and they have some photo exhibit, aircraft exhibit, guns and some weapons, and wow! I just hold a grenade launcher and those m16 are so heavy, well I'm glad that I'm not a soldier. (read more and see photos below)

Thanks again to Marquee Mall for the big hot air balloon treat for us bloggers, and because we enjoyed staying too much inside the Marquee Mall and take that free van ride going to Clark Freeport zone. Traveling from the South to the North is so easy, riding a Dagupan route at the Victory Liner Pasay City terminal and then we just hopped off to Dau Terminal and rode a tricycle going to that jeepney ride going inside Clark Freeport Zone. I'm just glad that we discovered the free van ride for everyone by Marquee Mall, they give free lift going to the mall and also going back to the hot air balloon venue.

At the event, we saw these gliders with propellers on their back, kids and adults are busy flying their kites, acrobatic planes are on the loose and it was breath taking, aircraft fly formations, and hot air balloon flying in.
I went inside field and got a close encounter with the hot air balloon, and thanks to my all access ID, I can go inside and take lots of photo. I also got a chance to ride the Marquee Mall's hot air balloon, it was funny and scary , but when you are inside that coach, you won't feel any heat  of the jet flame. we usually feel the heat of the flame whenever they fire it up from outside the coach, the balloon that I'm riding just hopped and floated for some feet and then the operator told me that they can't go higher because the winds are too strong. The balloons are tethered to a Wrangler jeep, so there's no problem if the balloon will be slept away. But other balloons went out of the field and traveled away going to the other location.

it was a weekend of everything that flies, from kites, remote controlled planes and copters, gliders, parachute stuntman, acrobatic planes and hot air balloons, but I wan't to participate that flying event and here I am brought my Pocket Power toy. Remember those pocket toys during the 80's ? my pocket power is a pull back action copter. Will do some demo tomorrow. hehheeh.
