Intel ‘Sing to Win’ Winners AnnouncedOnline music-video-making contest puts spotlight onMANILA, PHILIPPINES, March 1, 2012 -- Intel Philippines recently concluded its most exciting and notable campaign to date, ‘Sing to Win’, with an awards night recognizing the top ten winners of its online music-video-making contest. The campaign celebrates Filipinos’ love for singing, and encourages participants to demonstrate their skills in creating original music videos.
Filipino talent and creativity
Among the top three finalists are Digital Showdown alumni Gary Sta. Cruz and Jay Jamoralin, both of whom displayed remarkable talent in the musical and video-editing arena. Sta. Cruz’ delivery of Kamikazee hit Narda won him the coveted grand prize, a complete home recording studio showcase and a notebook powered by a 2nd Generation Intel Core i7 processor. Jay Jamoralin’s cover of Jaya’s Wala Na Bang Pag-ibig garnered the first runner-up title, winning him select Behringer sound system equipment and a 2nd Generation Intel Core i5 notebook. Second runner-up Niq Ablao also impressed the judges with her tasteful rendition of Parokya Ni Edgar’s Harana, and was able to take home sound system equipment from Behringer and a 2nd Generation Intel Core i3 notebook.
Not to be outdone were ‘Sing to Win’ semi-finalists Carizza Janine Panaligan (Dadalhin – Regine Velasquez), Henry Abesamis (Narda - Kamikazee), Larah Dela Cruz (Torete – Moonstar88), Mesezabel Montano (Luha - Aegis), Paul Ryan Cudel (Pagdating ng Panahon – Regine Velasquez), Rose Ann Rosales-Tan (Dadalhin – Regine Velasquez), and Shiela Hulgado (Wala Na Bang Pag-ibig - Jaya).
The online contest ran on Facebook for six months ending last January 31, 2012. Contest participants were tasked to create an original music video using any of the pre-selected OPM songs on the official Intel Philippines Sing to Win Facebook page. All contest entries were judged on creative merit and general appeal, as well as technical skill, song rendition and artistic impact.
To generate more buzz around the campaign and to serve as indie film guru for the contest participants, Filipino internet sensation Jun Sabayton was brought onboard with the production of Hangal Na Luha, an eight-episode web series telling the street-to-stardom story of an ambitious yet talented average Juan. The series has quickly become immensely popular online and continues to receive praise from a wide YouTube audience. Directed by esteemed indie film director R.A. Rivera, with which Intel has previously collaborated on its short-film-making campaign Digital Showdown, Hangal Na Luha also stars conceptual artist and funnyman Kaloy Olavides.
Sing to Win nationwide interactive mall shows completed
With the participation of Lenovo, Acer, Samsung, Asus and Neo, Intel ‘Sing to Win’ visited thirty locations nationwide over the course of five months. Mall goers were able to see, touch and feel the latest gadgets from Intel and leading PC brands through an extensive product showcase, live demos and on-the-spot video-editing tutorials.
Interested participants were encouraged to join a road show contest per mall leg, in which they were challenged to perform and create music videos on-site. Participants with the most creative and engaging videos took home notebooks powered by a 2nd Generation Intel core processor.
Sing to Win Facebook application launched
The experience was replicated online with the ‘Sing to Win’ Facebook application. The app allows users to create, edit and post original music videos on the Intel Philippines Facebook page, giving them the chance to share their performance with a global audience.
“Since the beginning of the campaign, there have been over 5,500 installations of the app and over 10,000 music videos produced, doubling the Intel Philippines Facebook fan base to 130,000 fans,” says Intel Philippines marketing manager Randy Kanapi. “Content related to our Facebook page has been viewed over 4.5 million times since August 2011, thanks to the Sing to Win campaign.”
With the favorable outcome of its Sing to Win campaign, Intel Philippines continues to deliver the ultimate PC experience to avid users and first-time PC buyers. Having successfully communicated PC relevance to the local entertainment industry, Intel continues to experience growth in the local PC market despite the increase in the demand for mobile devices.

Wishing you could have a bit of artistry to go with your daily dose of coffee or tea?
Making a very creative debut at Manila’s newest art and retail hub—Ronac Art Center—is gourmet coffee and tea purveyor, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®.
“Again, one of our main goals has always been to make it easier for all Filipinos to have access to the best brews available out there,” explains Walden Chu, President of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®. “Like in all our other stores, we took very careful consideration before deciding on this new location because we wanted to make sure it will indeed present convenience to all our followers.”
The new The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® store opened today, February 27, 2012. It is conveniently located in Ronac Art Center’s ground floor and caters to all sorts of coffee and tea aficionados in the Ortigas-Greenhills area. Staying true to the location's avant-garde nature, the store's design debuts a very interesting new look that's unlike any other in the country.
“It’s the perfect partnership,” adds Walden. “For some reason, coffee or tea and art seem very logical. Both exist in the same plane in a way that they both require a great amount of skill and expertise for one to get it right.”
As in all of its locations, the new branch offers The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's® full selection of internationally-acclaimed blends made only from the finest grades of custom roasted Arabica coffee and hand-plucked whole leaf teas sourced only from the most exclusive regions around the world. The store also offers fresh baked goods, sweet treats, and a line of complementary coffee and tea merchandise.
In line with its debut, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf® branch in Ronac Art Center is holding a special promotion from February 27 to March 4, 2012. During the said period, customers can come to the store between 4:00 to 6:00 PM and purchase any of their favorite beverages for only P100.

Me and my family visited this new restaurant in south wing of the a newly built Bonifacio High Street, a new section of BHS and sometimes I call it BHS 3, I received an invitation to check its soft opening last January 28 and I’m so glad that we went to BHS that day and did our food adventure with my baby boy and my wife. I just learned that Aria Cucina Italiana is not a new restaurant here in the Philippines, it’s a restaurant that was first seen in the island of Boracay in 2003 and it is one of the popular dining places and must visit if you are in Boracay.
I have visited their Boracay branch last year, at first I took me a while to remember the look of the place and I’m so lazy to check my Boracay photos on my external HD and decided to check the photos online from their official website and then I saw that it is the same resto that we visit every year to eat with PR people and media friends whenever we have out of town trip and events to cover in Boracay. I always remember that we place a long table inside that narrow floorings of their Boracay branch. But It’s a surprise that Aria Cucina Italiana is here in Manila and didn’t expected they have lots of followers and mostly customers who regularly visits Aria Cucina Italiana in Boracay, the word of mouth about their Manila branch spreads fast and there we encounter the soft opening that night with lots of walk in customers and then the week just become an Aria Cunina Italiana mania and heard that long waiting lines occur infront of the resto and their Manila customers are so excited to try it here and feel the taste of Italian style cuisine and dream of sipping cold fruit shake by the beach.

When we entered the resto we received an advice from the resto manager that on their soft opening day is not yet in full blast so we should expect that some food on the menu are not available, we say that its okay and I’m just curious on what they will offer to us and I want to introduce them to my family so that they can try Aria and not require them to travel to Boracay.
so here are the food we ordered that night
Margherita Pizza, Aria is famous for creating yummy pizza and baked them on woodfire and brick oven, having brick oven pizza is the best, this pizza is priced at Php 390 and it can be served to 3 people
Caesar Salad, my wife always order this and since other salads are not available and we decided to order the ones that are a regular name on the menu. Priced at P355

Watermelon shake, best watermelon shake that night, I can feel the Boracay breeze after one sip aahaaha, priced at P120
Costincine de agnello, the grilled lamb arrives late on our table, I understand that but its okay because I know that grilling this meat should be not on burned level, it is the grand prize of our waiting time and happy that I took home some left over, the best lamb meat with perfect taste and mix of spice, I suggest you order this. Priced at P980.
behind the scenes....
my wife mrs. Styleandrelax.net is so busy with her pizza
Baby Ash joins our food monster adventure.... so sad that they don't have yet any high chair for toddlers
busog! and enjoying the view here in south wing of BHS
entrance view of Aria
our view from Aria, you'll see the dancing fountains with lights below
read this before you order and eat!
Anito statue infront of the restaurant
table set up
dining view, as you can see that the set up is not entirely the same from their Boracay branch
close look on the menu
try their weekly special
menu on our table
and here are some food that I should try next time
Spinaci e Funghi
Flan al Cioccolato
Fettucine Nere in Crema di Mare
Branzino all griglia
my review:
If you plan to dine in alone and you have P1000 budget in your pocket, then you can visit Aria and try their pasta or pizza, the pizza is heavy on your tummy and I'm sure you won't finish all of the slices if you a pasta on the side or a salad, I'm a low budget guy and I always see if I can survive ordering food for one or even two, the meal can cover your hunger and you will just say that you can live for a month without eating any pizza, I haven't tried their pasta that night since they are on beta test, but I'll visit them next time and try their cakes too. My only suggestion is that they include high chair for toddlers because I noticed that there customers dining in with their kids and you know its hard to feed them if they just sit on your lap or in their stroller. From our end we chased my son in the corner just to feed him with pizza hahahah. I know that they learned a lot from their beta test after the soft opening, I'll visit them again this month of March 2012 and see how fast they are in serving our food and also try to observe the Aria mania.
Best to dine in here is at night, because the view from their location is beautiful.
