College students who loves to compose lyrics and songs, you better read this blog post because this is the moment you are waiting for to have a breakthrough as a songwriter and be part of an upcoming workshop and competition of college song writers.
#MoveOnLang songwriting competition invites college students to submit and write lyrics and songs that promotes inspirations, love and passion. Let's say good bye to "hugot" songs because "move on" is now the new key to success and the act to inspire everyone to be better and bolder.
On the road to the songwriting competition, #MoveOnLang will do a songwriting caravan on these schools to do workshop and also meet our popular and successful songwriters under the membership of FILSCAP. They will be there to teach and share knowledge about songwriting and also be able to inspired the college students to write better lyrics.
#MoveOnLang is scheduled to visit:
- DLSU
- UST
- UP Diliman
- San Beda College
- University of Makati
According to FILSCAP President Rico Blanco, they are adding more school in the line up and they invite everyone to come and participate in this workshop organized by FILSCAP and Pioneer Insurance.

As for the #MoveOnLang songwriting competition, they are inviting college level students to submit their inspiring story through a lyric and song. Participants from the age of 15-24 years old Filipino student, presently enrolled, can submit up to 5 entries with a length of 3 1/2 minute or less song.
Deadline of entries is until October 21, 2016 and you can submit it at www.moveonlang.ph
For the prizes:
Grand prize - PHP 100,000
2nd Place - PHP 50,000
3rd Place - PHP 30,000
7 consolation prize - PHP10,000
Online favorite - PHP 10,000
And all winners will receive insurance coverage each from Pioneer Insurance, an insurance coverage up to PHP100,000.

Now I know where our money went when we pay for FILSCAP royalties in every event, I didn't know them personally, but when I learned that Rico Blanco is their current President, this gave me more assurance that music royalties payment are well taken care of and we saw that they're here to help brew the next generation of songwriters and composers.
