Gisele Bündchen Seeds Collection, with style and comfy feel flip flops, and also a Walkathon that will benefit our environmental group in planting more trees in our vanishing rainforests.
The seeds
Ipanema launched a new collection of 5 kind of style flip flops for females and it was called the "Gisele Bündchen Seeds Collection", Gisele is a famed Brazilian fashion icon and dubbed by Forbes Magazine’s “The World’s Top-Earning Model”. The flip flop design is showing a symbolism of "the seed of life". The theme of the new flip flops of Ipanema GB seeds shows mother nature's importance, as our waters are being protected by trees, and then we need seeds to grow more trees. A singe seed can represent hope for changing a small region on any country. And by this brand, it will support and help the Forests of the Future Progran which was run by SOS Mata Atlantica Foundation.
My nature tripping
I was at the Le Souffle, The Fort, I'm kinda uncomfortable on my look, because I'm wearing shorts at that time, I though that the event will be for a summer thing, so I chose my get up to be "IN" for the summer, but I was wrong! ahhaha, it is all about mother nature and our action to help our fellow friends in planting trees. Then I saw the nice design of the new Ipanema flip flops, it was displayed in our table like a fruit from a tree, they have this plant on of the table and flip flops are hanging in it. I was waiting for the fashion show, and it started with the performance of the Philippine Ballet Theater group, they dance gracefully with that acapella Portugese lyric songs and I was surprised to see that they are wearing the GB seeds flip flops, I have never seen a ballet act wearing flip flops and after seeing it, I realized that the flops are heavy duty and seems that they are comfortable wearing it. After I enjoyed the great food and meal at the table, I began to know more about Gisele Bündchen, didn't know that she is a model, but then I found out that she agree to use her name as a brand to help our environmental group. And happy to hear that every purchase of the flip flops will help our environmental group to continue their projects. ( read more below)
The Walkathon
Here in the Philippines, Ipanema cooperates with Haribon Foundation and ELRO Corporation to have an walkathon event using Ipanema flip flops and this is for the benefit of the Philippine Rainforests. Walk the Green Mile will be on March 21, 2009 in front of LE Souffle, The Fort,Taguig.
You can join in the campaign by purchasing a pair of Ipanema flip flops and then join with the walkathon, the part of the flip flop purchase will be donated to ROAD to 2020 ( Rainforestation Organizations and Advocates) projects in planting and growing native trees in one million hectares in our local rainforest until year 2020. Haribon Foundation is available to accept donations at the event.
First 30 persons who finish the walkathon will take home a free pair of Ipanema GB seeds flip flps of their choice of design and style. first 300 people who joined will get limited Ipanema GB baller ID, then firs 100 to show up at the venue will get a limited Walk the Green Mile shirt.
Walk the Green Mile Walkathon will be on March 21, 2009 at the parking lot near Le Souffle. Registration will start at 3:00 PM, while Walkathon starts at 5:00PM
